Inexpensive Beauty Find: VOV Castledew Watershot Base

As I was (and still am) very pleased with the VOV Castledew Watershot Foundation I decided to pick up their Watershot Base in green (#2).

I am really liking green bases as they tone down the redness of my cheeks really well. I have various green primers (from Etude House, Tony Moly and a few others) so when I had the choice of white, purple and green in the Watershot Base I decided to go for green. I don't need purple as I don't have any sallowness in my skin and white would brighten but I just felt green will do more for me.

The Watershot Base comes in the same pretty heavy 45ml glass bottle with pump dispenser. It's a very glam and elegant style of packaging and very well vanity-worthy even though the primer cost me just a bit over 5 bucks (maybe around US$7-8 if you include the shipping costs).

The base is a milky green cream which offers sheer coverage so any redness in my cheeks really gets toned-down well but my skin doesn't get a sickly green color.
The cream carries the same light powdery floral scent as the foundation.

It's definitely worth picking up one of the primers and a foundation as they work together beautifully, look pretty and will not break your bank.

Oh I wanted to add on another note that the VOV Casteldew Diacut Eyes are my favorite eye palettes I purchased this year. I used the palettes exclusively for over 2 weeks (I hardly use the same eye palette twice a year otherwise haha) and created new looks every day from smokey to super natural and I still have some possible combos in my head. They're so worth their approx. US$9-10/each and I am considering getting backups of them =)
I love their color variety, beautiful metallic finish and cute compacts =D

VOV just released a Diacut Cheeks palette, too (I should be able to review it by mid of the week if I get it by then hopefully)
