Coffret d´Or Fast Beauty Foundation UV SPF33 PA++ BB Cream in 01 Bright Skin

If you see this post on another site than lotuspalace.blogspot.com it has been stolen and used without my permission. I only allow reposts with proper credits for my work (please contact me first!)!

Coffret d´Or whipped up their own kind of BB cream a few months ago so I picked up a tube when I was in Hong Kong.

The Fast Beauty UV Foundation BB comes in a silver squeeze tube...not really and kind of exciting packaging but it is convenient and hygienic.

This BB cream has a very smooth but not overly thick consistence and is very easy to spread evenly. It gives about medium coverage so it evens out my skin nicely and I don´t need another foundation.

This cream is unscented and doesn´t irritate my skin at all. This has an added sun protection of SPF33 and PA++.

01 is a yellow-toned light shade suitable for light but not for super pale skin-tones. For me it´s too yellow and dark but it blends in somewhat well.

Overall a nice Japanese BB cream but the color is a bit too yellow for my liking.
I don´t remember the price I paid for my 30g tube but I think this retails for around US$32 on Adambeauty.
There are 2 more colors available: Natural and Healthy.

Spring 2011: Coffret d´Or Eyes Appeal Shadow, Beauty Sharp Designer Face Color, Essence Stay Rouge & BU Rouge

Coffret d´Or is usually one of the first brands to release the spring collection, usually as early as beginning of December.

The new items feature a completely new design, sticking to either white or black packaging. The eyeshadow quads and blush palettes come in refills and 2 different cases to fit the items inside.

I got the following products:
-Eyes Appeal Shadow in 05 (Purple x Mint)
-Beauty Sharp Designer Face Color in 02 Pure Pink
-Essence Stay Rouge in PK-255 & RS-262
-BU Rouge in RS-264

-Eyes Appeal Shadow:

The new eyeshadow palettes come in 5 color variations, all in pastel shades. You have to buy the refills and cases individually so the overall price is higher than for the regular eyeshadow palettes.

The clear plastic case the refills come in is a very sturdy slim compact though so if you are not keen on getting the white or black case you will pay less for the quad.

I picked the white/pink case, in fact the white plastic also has a pink opalescent shine which is quite pretty. This case fits both the shadow quads and the blush palettes.

The texture is very silky and finely milled with a delicate shimmer. The shadows are sheer but still show up well on me, especially the 2 deeper colors. One shade is just a glitter shade which is a bit of a waste as a 2nd medium color would have been great.

Lasting power is great in my opinion, the colors stay pretty much on all day on me.

05 is a purple palette including a deep blue-toned purple, medium lavender, a mint-tinged off-white and a light silver beige glitter shade. I like to pat on the glitter on the middle of my lids and just below my brows.

The colors look very pretty worn together.

Overall a nice palette so my rating is 4/5

-Beauty Sharp Designer Face Color:
The new blushes are available in 3 color patterns including a palette of highlighter and 2 shading powders.
The blushes have a very pretty pattern consisting of different colors blending together into 1 shade.

The blush has a delicate shimmer which is quite pretty but unfortunately it´s so very sheer, even I have to layer it like 5 times to get a bit of a pink flush so if you are tan probably you won´t be able to see any color at all.

The highlighter/shading powder trio is even worse, it doesn´t show up at all, all you get is a bit of a faint shimmer. I actually swatched it at the right of the pic but even with like 10 layers you can´t detect the color really.

I got 02 Pure Pink, a cool pink shade.

-Essence Stay Rouge:

The new lipglosses/liquid lipsticks come in white tubes with pink. The white plastic part looks a bit cheap to be honest but the product is really nice.

The formula is slick and quite pigmented and stays on decently. It´s not a sticky or very thick gloss but still gives a nice glossy finish.

This lipstick is unscented and unflavored.

PK-255: A pretty petal pink with fine shimmer

RS-262: Cool mauve with fine shimmer

Overall these are great lippies as you should be used from Coffret d´Or and there is nothing to complain about except for the slightly cheap look so:
Rating 4.5/5

-BU Rouge:
This is a new lipstick range coming in black/silver packaging. Again the plastic part looks cheap-ish to me, the cap is semi-transparent and overall it reminds me more of a product brands like Covergirl would release...

The formula isn´t so creamy, it´s a satin-finish lipstick which looks a little dull and feels a little bit dry to me but it lasts considerably long.

Overall not my favorite lipstick range from Coffret d´Or, I prefer a creamier and maybe also more shimmery texture.

RS-264 is a very neutral rosy beige which would go with about any eye makeup.

Rating 3/5

Overall the spring collection is quite nice but you could probably skip the blushes as they are a bit sheer and relatively pricey. The Eyes Appeal Shadow and Essence Stay Rouge deserve to be checked out though!

Adambeauty haul (Coffret d´Or spring collection)

Today I received my most recent Adambeauty haul as he started listing the new spring collection from Coffret d´Or last week! Coffret D´or gave its new collection quite a different look than previous ones, sort of more mature and grown up =( ...with eyehadow/blush refills sold separately from the cases.
The compacts are sold in either black/silver or white/pink and of course I opted for the latter as it´s just prettier =)
Since the refills and cases are sold individually the total price is higher than for the previous palettes...a bit of a bummer but since the refills come in sturdy clear plastic cases you might actually skip the compact and save some bucks.

Adambeauty´s prices for the blush or eyeshadows already include a case but you must add the compact(s) of your choice extra (listed @ HK$0), so don´t forget this if you are going to order!

Anyway, here is my order! Didn´t play with the goodies yet but will start today =)

Oh and in other news.... going to review this precious treasure here soon, too!

Fall 2010: Coffret d´Or Beauty C Curve Eyes in 06 Smoky Brown

I quite liked the peach-themed Beauty C Curve Eyes from Coffret d´Or released for summer 2010 and was determined to pick up the taupe one for fall 2010 as soon as I spotted the first pics on Rouge Deluxe.

I was waiting for a while to see if Adambeauty would get the 2 limited fall palettes and picked up the one in 06 Smoky Brown when I finally spotted it.
The other palette is plum/gray but the plum shade looked a bit reddish online however I might pick it up if I see good swatches pop up that show the palette clearly.

Anyway, I described the slim case in my previous review and the texture of this palette is similarly sheer however the shadows feel a good deal rougher and grittier which is something I don´t understand. No idea why they didn´t stick to the normal formula? Anyway, the colors are pigmented enough to show up beautifully and they blend nicely.

There is a big color to be used as a highlighter around the eye area, a quite glittery light shade, a metallic medium color and a shimmery deep (liner) color.
The medium and deep colors show up best though the medium color needs some layering. The 2 highlighters are very sheer and I dislike the strong glitter in the light color.

Overall not the best taupe palette in my opinion but it´s definitely pretty and fall-appropriate.

06 Smoky Brown contains a deep brown, medium silver taupe, a white glitter shade and an off-white highlighter.
