Fall 2010: Lavshuca Dramatic Memory Liquid Rouge (various colors)

I reviewed one of the Dramatic Memory Liquid Rouge glosses from Lavshuca´s last fall collection here. Since I liked it so much I was happy to see Adambeauty finally stocked it so I grabbed a few more colors.

As I described before this is a very nicely pigmented and smooth kind of liquid lipstick/lipgloss. I can´t detect any serious stickiness but the gloss is a bit on the thicker side. 

Lasting power is good for a gloss and the colors have a pretty glossy finish.
Retails for 1260 Yen for 2.7g of gloss. I paid around US$13 on Adambeauty.

Here are the new colors I got (they are all quite similar to each other actually):
PK-1: A pretty natural light coral pink with fine shimmer

RD-1: My favorite, a pretty mauvey pink with shimmer

RD-3: A bright and fresh tangerine-tinged pink

RD-4: A sheer juicy red, not as pigmented as I expected. Only swatched it on  my arm for this pic and then sold it so no lip swatch, sorry!


While these colors aren´t as pigmented as my beloved one in RD-2 which still remains my favorite color of all still these are excellent pigmented lipglosses that look beautiful and wear comfortably. 
I deducted 0.5 points for the lesser amount of pigment.

Fall 2010: Shiseido Integrate Rainbow Grade Eyes GY905

I purchased and reviewed couple of the new Rainbow Grade Eyes fall eyeshadow palettes from Integrate some time ago but recently purchased another color as I really like this range.

GY905 looked like a perfect black/gray/silver smokey eye palette. Since the texture of both other palettes was excellent I didn´t imagine that this certain color would be a total dud!
 
For some weird reason this palette doesn´t have the same silky and blendable texture as the other colors but is rather dull, hard to blend, crumbly and applies really blotchy. The darkest color is much too light to make a decent smokey eye whereas the cream shade, the rainbow powder and the light silver shade look nearly identical. The medium silver and darkest shade also show nearly no contrast.

Really a pity as I expected this to be much nicer. I am pretty shocked how inconsistent the quality is among this range of eyeshadow palettes! Brands like Kate or Lavshuca offer much better smokey eye palettes for the same price btw!
I layered each color about 2-3 times for the swatch below btw... The color pay-off is seriously bad!

Fall 2010: Lavshuca Liquid Rouge RD-2

For some weird reason I totally missed the new Liquid Rouge range from Lavshuca that came out for the past fall season. I stumbled across it on Ichibankao a while ago and ordered one of the glosses in RD-2 to try this product out.

The Liquid Rouge looks pretty much like the version from Kate, starting from the tube down to the texture of this stuff. Well, Lavshuca and Kate are both Kanebo brands so I am not wondering about that.
Packaging is quite simple for Lavshuca standards as usually their lipsticks come in quite elaborate tubes.

The applicator is a very soft doe-foot type which distributes the right amount of gloss effortlessly. 
I just LOVE the thick pigmented and highly glossy texture of the Liquid Rouge. If you don´t like sticky or thick glosses this might not be for you but if you want a really pigmented gloss this is perfect. It spreads like a dream and stays put for several hours with the most gorgeous glossy shine.

This is unscented and comes in an array of rather neutral colors.
 
RD-2 is the most beautiful shimmery pink-beige ever. It´s a very natural flattering color, really love it! I know it´s like 100000 of my lippies but I just dig this kind of color so I always end picking up similar shades lol

To me it was a bit pricey but it was worth every Cent. A pity that Adambeauty doesn´t list this product.

Fall 2010: Lunasol Coloring Cheeks 08 Medium Pink

I am far not as much in love with Lunasol anymore as I used to be. I think the eyeshadow palettes have the tendency to disappoint me due to lack of pigment and/or unsuitable color combos. There are some I really love but the majority fails for me.

I always love the lipsticks and think the powder and blushes are pretty nice, too. I didn´t own any of the newer blush range called Coloring Cheeks but the new fall color 08 Medium Pink looked like a great neutral color suitable for the majority of makeup looks.

The Coloring Cheeks come as refill so it´s up to you if you want a case and brush or not. The refill costs 2500 Yen, the case 1500 Yen and the brush 1000 Yen. Quite a splurge to get the whole set but honestly I am a sucker and want the whole thing.

There is a soft glue at the bottom of the refill so you can easily stick it into the compact. 
 
This blush consists of 3 colors from light to medium. I swirl all of them together but surely you could use the lighter shades as highlighter or lighter blush.
The Coloring Cheeks has a soft and silky texture and a beautiful pearly silk finish so it gives that sheen to the cheeks that I love so much. It´s not glitter but super finely milled shimmer, really very pretty!
The blush shows up well on me as it has a good amount of pigment and it doesn´t irritate my skin.

As so often I purchased this from Adambeauty as he had the best price for the set. 
08 Medium Pink is not really a pink in my opinion, more of a coral red with a certain brightness to it. It looks natural on me and matches a good amount of my lip colors!

Overall a high quality but expensive product.

Fall 2010: Clé de Peau Beauté Extra Silky Lipstick in 127 & 128

The Extra Silky Lipstick from Clé de Peau Beauté is probably the best (and one of the most luxurious) lipstick ranges I know...though still the difference to other great lipsticks quality-wise isn´t that high so e.g. in my opinion the Moist Melting Rouge lipsticks from Lavshuca or some of the lipsticks from Maquillage or Coffret d´Or are a great and more affordable alternative to the Extra Silky Lipsticks. That´s why I personally wouldn´t pay retail (US$52!) for the Cdp lippies but I am always happy when I can get a good deal on eBay. My limit is about US$25-30 & shipping as this is what I would pay for e.g. Coffret d´Or.

I got the Extra Silky Lipstick in the 2 new fall colors, 127 and 128, for a good price on eBay as I was the only bidder. Probably nobody else found these as the seller listed these as "Extra Silly Lipsticks" haha!

The twist-up tubes come in the elegant signature deep blue shimmery CdP color. The lipsticks are not retractable so be sure to only twist out the amount you need not to crush the tip of the lipstick. 
To twist out the color the cap should be attached to the end of the tube for easier handling.

The 2 new fall colors are very different from each other and as I am used to from CdP they are exceptionally creamy with a gorgeous rich moist and nicely pigmented lustrous finish making my lips look plump and glossy.

These lipsticks wear very well, feel comfortable and moisturizing and last for several hours on me if I don´t eat or drink. They don´t gunk up on the inner part of my lips either so a great product all the way round.

They are definitely wonderful quality and a really nice indulgence however still the price-tag would turn me off lol but for the price I paid I am very satisfied for sure.

These lipsticks are unfragranced and unflavored and contain a measly 2g.



127 is a color that looks more suitable for spring and summer which doesn´t prevent me from wearing it whenever I want hehe =P It´s a very pretty coral pink.

128 is definitely my favorite color as it´s a soft raspberry rose shade.

Overall I love the lush texture and lustrous finish of these lipsticks but the price-tag certainly is very high.

Rating: 5/5 (not detucting for the price as I got them cheaper and the lippies totally deserve the 5 stars).

Fall 2010: Shiseido Integrate Rainbow Grade Eyes VI708

As I posted below I picked up another color of the Integrate Rainbow Grade Eyes from Apopofkawaii.com as I am very happy with my palette in BR701.
I decided on the palette in VI708 as it looked like a gorgeous smokey purple color set fitting for me. I know I am boring, I usually purchase taupes, grays and purples =P

To me this palette feels a bit sheerer than the other color but the color is buildable without clumping up and I love the pretty soft finely milled shimmer and good blending quality of the shadows.

The shade at the top left is a cream base (very dry, pearl finish, doesn´t crease on me) whereas the shade below it is a glitter shade to pat on top of the other 3 graduated colors.

I won´t go into details regarding the compact etc. but the Rainbow Grade Eyes are really cute and one of my favorite range of palettes currently =)

VI708 is exactly what I wanted, a soft set of cool dusty purples. Good for a soft smokey eye but not suitable for anyone searching for very pigmented shades =)

first pic is before applying mascara because it shows the colors so well, 2nd with Canmake Gokunobi (lengthening mascara). Liner is from Koji 1 day Long Lasting in Natural Black (a gray shade)..love this, to be reviewed eventually!

Fall 2010: Coffret d´Or Beauty C Curve Eyes in 06 Smoky Brown

I quite liked the peach-themed Beauty C Curve Eyes from Coffret d´Or released for summer 2010 and was determined to pick up the taupe one for fall 2010 as soon as I spotted the first pics on Rouge Deluxe.

I was waiting for a while to see if Adambeauty would get the 2 limited fall palettes and picked up the one in 06 Smoky Brown when I finally spotted it.
The other palette is plum/gray but the plum shade looked a bit reddish online however I might pick it up if I see good swatches pop up that show the palette clearly.

Anyway, I described the slim case in my previous review and the texture of this palette is similarly sheer however the shadows feel a good deal rougher and grittier which is something I don´t understand. No idea why they didn´t stick to the normal formula? Anyway, the colors are pigmented enough to show up beautifully and they blend nicely. 

There is a big color to be used as a highlighter around the eye area, a quite glittery light shade, a metallic medium color and a shimmery deep (liner) color.
The medium and deep colors show up best though the medium color needs some layering. The 2 highlighters are very sheer and I dislike the strong glitter in the light color.
 
Overall not the best taupe palette in my opinion but it´s definitely pretty and fall-appropriate.

 
06 Smoky Brown contains a deep brown, medium silver taupe, a white glitter shade and an off-white highlighter.

Fall 2010: Jill Stuart Blush Blossom Dual Cheek Color in 04 Seductive Rose

I actually had made up my mind to skip these new Jill Stuart blushes as I am not a big fan of loose powder products in general so I just avoid them.

As it often happens my friend Iris blogged about the blush and I finally wasn´t able to resist the Blush Blossom Dual Cheek Color in 04 Seductive Rose anymore. When it´s about Japanese makeup I have no willpower whatsoever! Sad, I know lol!
I got mine from Gooddealer as I found this to be the cheapest place to purchase this from. It retails for 4750 Yen (=about US$57 with this strong Yen!) but incl. shipping I paid several $ less from GD.

The Blush Blossom is a range of loose powder blush duos which is something quite unique as I have rarely seen 2 loose powder products filled into 1 compact...the risk of accidentially mixing the two is always there this way!

The compact is very pretty and elaborate, just as one expects from a brand like Jill Stuart! 

It comes with a nice brush similar to the ones found in the Mix Blush Compact but the brush is not attached to the case this time but has a pretty ribbon charm dangling from the handle instead. The bristles seem a bit stiffer than the ones from the Mix Blush Compact but still it´s a good-quality brush and perfectly usable.


The 2 loose blushes are filled into 1 tub but are separated and covered with a soft bouncy net which serves as a sifter. The net makes it pleasant to gently pick up the blushes and eliminates the necessity to shake out the powder onto a hard plastic sifter which would inevitably lead to mixing the colors.

Before closing the compact one must cover the powders with the included clear plastic sheet and the tightly closing white plastic lid to make sure not to mix the colors when tilting the compact afterwards. I find this way the powders stay in their part of the compact and there is no problem with mixing, spilling etc. 

Still this is not a no-fuzz makeup item for me as I have to be very careful not to tip the compact over during application and close it tightly afterwards or else the mess and loss will be huge. 
There was to be a better solution to have separate lids for the 2 colors but might be that was not going along with the pretty compact designing.

Anyway, the 2 colors are really super finely milled and smooth and give a gorgeous glowy finish to my cheeks which comes from very fine shimmer (no glitter, no frost!). The Blush Glow is the actual blush color whereas the Shimmer Tint on the left is used to add some extra glow. For me the Shimmer Tint makes a great blush, too, since it´s deep and pigmented enough to be a subtle blush. Otherwise if you are more tan it can act as a highlighter or to change the blush color a bit. 
The Blush Glow is really well pigmented so it takes no effort to have gorgeously flushed cheeks. It´s actually easy for me to overdo this blush so I only use very little with a careful hand. 
Since a very small amount is needed per application this 5g jar should last quite a while in my opinion. 

I got 04 Seductive Rose which looked like the perfect hot pink and peach combo for me. I find that hot pinks applied sheerly look most like my natural cheek color so they are really flattering.
The pink side actually has a *very* light blue iridescence which makes it a quite unique color in my opinion.

Overall a gorgeous new range of blushes and worth looking into. Handling this item can be a bit tricky though so one must always handle this with the greatest care.

There are 3 more permanent color and 1 limited one. Furthermore the Xmas coffret will contain 1 more color but this year I will probably skip this as the other items don´t look that appealing to me.
