Scrunchy haul from Yumeko =D

As I mentioned in my previous Yumeko haul post (<---click) I participated in most of her sales so far and my latest purchase was a couple of hair scrunchies from her most previous sale =D I just love her handmade items! Click here to see my other haul from her!


Ah, they're so cute! Yes, I got 2 of the same style as I wanted one for my daughter (7 yo) and one for myself, too =P

Look at the cute strawberry fabric and the bow! I have never seen a scrunchy with a bow here!
As always these are made very well so I am sure they'll survive for a long time hehe!


She sent me a pair of chopsticks!! I love these (cute bunnies and blossoms!)! Finally stylish chopsticks to eat my Sushi with! =D Thanks, sweetie!!

Gmarket haul & face-lift for my netbook =P

Yesterday I got my latest Gmarket haul consisting of stationery (for me and the kids) and some Etude House stuff (mainly sun lotions for our Egypt trip in August). Among the Etude House stuff is their new eyeshadow primer which so far seems to be pretty awesome (review will follow soon!)


I ordered a ton of deco tapes and paper stickers and when I was sitting in front of them I wondered what to use them for except for sticking on letters and in my day planner... And I came up with the idea to primp my netbook as I was bored with the standard white surface (i had some HK stickers on it but after all...a snore!)


These Milk 101 pens (assorted colors, they're scented!!) are great, too!


So here is my netbook (and I am kinda proud of how pretty it came out =D) I bought a transparent sticky plastic foil used for covering school books to seal the surface but the pics show the netbook without it =D (Click to enlarge!)

Stationery Love: San-X Palette's Sweet Street

As promised here is a post about the cutest memo pads and letter set I received over the week featuring San-X's cat Palette and his (her?) Sweet Street.


This is exactly the style I love so much! This mix of cute and elegant, vintage and charming. The illustrations show so many details it's a pleasure just looking at the cute sheets without even using them lol =D

I got
-2 large memo pads (100 sheets/each, split into 4 designs), a letter set (4 different styles in the set...40 sheets and 20 envelopes)
-2 packets of small envelopes (10 pieces/each)
-3 smaller memo pads (30 sheets, extra thick/slightly structured paper; 2 designs per pad). 2 of the memo pads show the same design as the mini envelopes I got so they fit together perefectly!

-Letter Set:
4 sweet designs of sheets and envelopes. I really love this letter set so much! I ordered another one which might arrive within the next week!
Great value for money, I haven't seen letter sets offering this amount of paper/envelopes here!


-The larger memo pads (they measure about 6x4" or 15x10.5 cm) are so sweet, the first 25 pages are the sweetest as they're die cut.

Banila Co It Fresh Cleansing Balm

I've had this big jar of the It Fresh Cleansing Balm sitting around in my bathroom for the longest time now and used it from time to time (that already gives you a hint how much I like it lol) so it's about time to write about it (to tick it off my to-teview list)


You get a mighty glass jar (very heavy and dangerous in the bathroom if you ask me) filled with 110g of light yellow gunk (the texture is like an extra thick petrolium jelly).

The Cleansing Balm has a very strong sweet lemon scent which reminds me of that children's vitamin syrup that tastes oh so yummy! (It's called Sanostol here, no idea where in the world you can get this).


When you apply a dab of this stuff to your (dry) face and massage gently you feel that it warms up a little. Banila Co suggests massaging for 20 seconds and then wash it off (I rinse it like cleansing oil: First massaging with wet my hands to break down the stuff and then rinse it off with warm water).
Well, *most* of it washes off but the rest stays on like a sticky layer of gunk.
Even if I follow with a foaming cleanser I still feel the Cleansing Balm sitting on my skin. This also means my skin is *not* clean after using this, when I follow with toner I still find some dirt on my cotton pad.


This retails for 22000 Won which is quite pricey (about US$16 or so?). I don't recommend this item.

If you think I am using this item the wrong way, just leave a comment to let me know how this could be used properly =P This item has a good rating on Banila Co's website so I wonder if I am doing something wrong!

As you know from my other reviews Banila Co rarely lets me down so I'll forgive them this time around =P

Etsy haul time again =P (Pic heavy as always!)

This week has been quite successful (Etsy-wise) again =P
From Monday until today I received multiple packages daily =D

I finally got the grand part of my stationery haul (though a big Gmarket parcel which is due to arrive on Friday morning and couple of smaller eBay and Etsy memo pads etc. purchases are still missing).

I wanted to mention that most Etsy sellers wrap their items in cute paper etc. I am just an impatient person and can't wait to see the things so I unwrap them before I take pics =X

I ordered here before (and posted about it) and I couldn't resist the other cute tote she had up for grabs. It looks small on the pic but it's actually a large tote (About 15"x12" or 38x30cm). The quality is excellent just like the other totes I got before!

This shop is offering free shipping worldwide! And her pricings are good, too! I got this cute travel wallet/passport or checkbook holder and I really love it! The (Japanese) fabric is really lovely and craftsmanship is fantastic. I really adore this!
Has 4 pockets (2 large ones, 2 card-sized pockets.
She has lots more of these pretty wallets in her store, mostly (if not all) made with Japanese fabrics!

I ordered 2 cute pouches with sweet Japanese deer prints from her sale section. I was the 100th sale she did on Etsy so she sent me a whopping 2 free pouches, a necklace and 2 pretty greeting cards (blank ones) to celebrate this event!
That's really generous considering that my purchase was just worth US$15!
The pouches are really well made, very slim and can hold quite a bit stuff (they are a good size for pencils, sewing stuff, makeup tools (of course hehe)

In this store you can find cute gadget/mobile phone pouches and other bits. I opted for the sweet house-shaped key pouch as it was instant love once I spotted it!
I think the quality of this is excellent and the key pouch works really well. Exactly what I was missing so far!
All fabrics are from Japan.

Yep, another haul from one of my favorite sellers! This time I decided on a padded case for my iphone (yes, I have already iphone sleeves, but since I put my phone in that hardcover case it's too wide and long for the custom-fitted iphone cases so I needed something a little bigger). I love the Japanese Matryoshka fabric, the colors are so sweet!
I also purchased a tiny pouch for the change I keep in my car.

This shop is run by Julia from simbiosisbyjulia, too! Here she is selling a special style of home decor items (not so much variety so far, I am sure she's very busy with her other shop =P). I purchased this lovely wall pocket to keep random papers etc. in place.
Julia is always delivering perfect quality =D
Japanese fabric is used as with most of her items.

If you have a Nintendo DS Lite and are searching for a totally kawaii sleeve (all Japanese fabrics) then have a look in this shop! You can also get pouches for other gadgets and also passport pockets.
I purchased this adorable strawberry sleeve for my future (!) DS Lite I am planning to reward myself with after passing this exam in June/July (I hope I'll pass!) =P As you can see there are also 2 small pockets for DS games or memory cards if you store a cam inside (lol I tucked 2 of the candies I received from Yumeko so you can see the pockets better).
I also got a passport pocket because I loved the combination of fabrics so much!
I am also getting a custom banner/logo designed from her (pssst, that's secret!) so I hope Lotus Palace will look cute, soon!

I found out about this seller on Birkinbagbeauty where she posted her beautiful pocket wallet! So I wanted to make use of the free shipping and ordered a wallet made from cute Japanese sheep fabric for myself =D It's mainly for cards (or bills if you fold them) and has also a zippered compartment if you want to tuck some change inside. I got this for my holiday in Egypt as I only take 2 credit cards and some money bills with me when I am there (they hardly use coins).

The haul includes 2 letter sets, 1 from Sanrio (Sugarbunnies) and 1 from San-X (Palette's Sweet Street about which I'll be posting later). The letter sets are great value for money! The Sanrio one contains 24 envelopes and 48 writing sheets! The San-X letter set comes with 20 envelopes and 40 sheets. Both contain various designs and were around US$6/each (plus shipping). Very good deal if you ask me!
I don't like those letter sets where you get like 4 envelopes and 8 sheets =P

You see that Masyumaro (that cute cat) memo pad? It's so cute! The kitty is nekkid and you get "clothes" to dress him with =D
