Shiseido UNO Fog Bar (pink version for women), special LE set

If you see this post on another site than lotuspalace.blogspot.com it has been stolen and used without my permission. I only allow reposts with proper credits for my work (please contact me first!)!

Fog Bar is a very famous series of liquid hair wax mists from Shiseido UNO, a brand targeted towards men.

The Fog Bar became quite popular among ladies, too, so Shiseido decided to release a set for women for market testing purposes. Here is an interesting article about this product.

The set contains a pink Fog Bar spray, a dusty pink satin (or silky material) hair scrunchie and a small booklet with styling ideas.

I believe the Fog Bar spray contains Tsubaki oil =)
I got my set from Alphabeautyuk on eBay and I still see a few sets left for those interested.

The Fog Bar is a slightly sticky and waxy spray so I recommend using it with care as the result otherwise can feel a little gross. If used sparingly this stuff is really good for keeping my style in place and smoothing down fuzzies but without the slightly hard sometimes crunchy feel of regular hair spray. It´s great to do an "airy" hair style and kneading in some of the Fog Bar as the hair will get a good dose of volume and it will nicely stay in place.

This product smells slightly floral but it´s a very unobtrusive scent which doesn´t smell strong at all.

The scrunchy is not slippery even though it´s made of a really nice silky material. It seems like a good quality product to me and I like wearing it a lot these days =)
The booklet is useless for me but might be interesting for others.

Overall I like the Fog Bar set and while the spray can be sticky the overall result it gives is good - as long as you don´t overdo application.

PS sorry for my lack of posts. I am studying for my 2nd last exam so I even don´t get to see my kids a lot these days let alone have time for posting =( I will be back to normal early July.

Kao Liese Iron Make Collection Rich Straight & Multi Arrange

I love using either the flat iron or the curling iron on my hair. I know it´s tough for my dyed hair but so far it survives everything well hehe =D

Back in April I got couple of bottles of spray from Liese´s new Iron Make collection made especially for using with hot iron tools. There are 2 types:
-Rich Straight for the flat iron
-Rich Curl for the curling iron (I didn´t get this one yet)
-Multi Arrange for both uses

The Rich Straight spray comes in a cute blue-striped bottle. The spray dispenser makes a relatively fine mist so a few sprays are enough to make my hair a little damp but not too wet for styling. It smells nice (floral and fresh) and initially feels a little sticky which is another reason why one shouldn´t spray too much of this on the hair.
According to Alphabeautyuk on eBay from whom I bought this this contains heat protection, keeps hair in place like a hair spray and makes hair soft, straight and smooth. It contains stretch polymers to help keep the hair straight.

I really love this stuff! It´s really the best styling aid to get my hair completely straight in a few minutes. My hair is pretty straight but with a light wave which can look untidy quickly but a few spritzes of this stuff and some strokes with my flat iron give me super silky soft and shiny straight hair.
Afterwards I just use a little of wax for straight hair and a couple of sprays of a hair gloss spray (both from Liese, too).

I am on my 2nd bottle now and will repurchase.

The Multi Arrange spray in the rainbow-striped bottle however is one of those multi-purpose items that doesn´t work well for either purpose.
It smells like the Rich Straight but when I try to use this with my flat iron my hair still doesn´t get as sleek as I want. I don´t know why since I use a good flat iron but this spray just isn´t doing the job.
Also for the curling iron it´s not perfect, I very much prefer my spray from Lucido-L which does a much better job.

Mandom Lúcido-L Designing Pump Hair Jelly

The Lúcido-L Designing Pump Hair Jelly in is one of my favorite styling products at the moment.

It comes in a nice large 200ml bottle with a pump dispenser.
The jelly is a smooth milky lightweight and rather watery (thus a bit runny) gel that helps you set your style, especially if you have straight hair.
You either use this on dry or towel dry hair, smooth it on and spread it with your fingers or a comb. Then let air-dry or use a hair dryer.

I like smoothing approx. a pump of this product on my hair after blow-drying to help tame those little fly-aways and make the hair look sleeker.

The things I really like about this jelly and which will make me repurchase is:
-the lightweight texture which doesn´t make my hair greasy
-that it´s not sticky so no hair that feels glued together
-helps me achieving the sleek straight look I like so much!
-the scent is divine! It´s a very nice fresh scent and I really like smelling this!

This is not what you would really understand as a hair gel as it´s more liquid and doesn´t really have the ability to fix your hair in a certain style away from straight looks.

The Designing Pump Hair Jelly contains Panthenol for added care properties.

I paid US$8.49 on Ebay (alphabeautyuk). There is also a jelly for wavy hair-styles in an orange pump-bottle available.

Kosé Cosmeport Salon Style (various products)

I have ordered and tried my first Kosé Cosmeport Salon Style products about a year ago. What I really like about the items is the high quality and the wonderful fresh scent the products carry.

The first item I ordered from Sasa was the Repair & Recover Spa Essence for damaged hair (though my hair is healthy lol).
It´s a nice lighweight cream to apply to towel dry or dry hair. It makes my hair shiny and soft. I don´t remember the price but I think it was somewhere around US$7.

The next thing I got was a set from the "Moist wrapping SPA series" for damaged hair comprising shampoo, conditioner and a treatment.
The products contain "Wrapping Repair Oil" to deeply condition and nourish your hair.

The set includes:
-Precious Head Spa Shampoo (rich moisture), 200ml
-Precious Head Spa Conditioner (rich moisture), 200ml
-Precious Head Spa Treatment (rich moisture), 90g

Including shipping the set cost me around US$22 from Alphabeautyuk on Ebay.
I am already on my 2nd set, got my first in September and just love the things!

The products are really great, I love how silky smooth and soft my hair gets when using the products.
Furthermore the scent is the best I found in a hair care series so far. I am really in love with the soft herbal fragrance.
The treatment is to be used between shampoo and conditioner. Leave on 2-3 minutes and rinse.

My most recent acquisition in early December was the Repair & Emollient SPA Oilfoam for extra damaged hair. It is a special treatment for using it at night which promises to make you wake up to hair as soft as silk.
What intrigued me about this item is that it is an oil in foam form. Very interesting idea!

The small bottle contains 70g and you really only need *very* little each time. If you use too much you will get greasy locks! But if I use a little (like cover half the palm of my hand with a thin layer and massage it into my hair (mainly the lower 1/3 of my hair) I really get super soft hair that feels like silk. It´s also great for my daughter´s hair who has really thick dry curly hair which needs a lot of care.
I paid about US$8 on Sasa.com.

Oh and this styling mousse is also pretty nice: it´s the Salon Style Super Straight Mousse. As you will know you just apply this to your towel-dry hair and then use your hair drier. I think the mousse helps in making my hair look straighter and holds it a bit in place but I think this could be achieved with about any styling foam or mist. It was only about US$5 for a large bottle though so I am pretty happy with it. Also it doesn´t make my hair crunchy or hard so that´s good for me.

This is the only item that doesn´t have the nice herbal scent but rather a typical styling mousse smell. Further this comes in a white and blue bottle which looks so close to Kanebo´s ProStyle Straight Style Mousse, too! (Oh, this one came with a free hair treatment trial size and cost only US$4.20) Lookie:

I shall review some styling products from Kao Liese soon! There are some darn good products from that brand, too!
