Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner

Liquid eyeliner has always been a tricky thing for me...that was until I discovered the joys of super slim Japanese eyeliner pens!

My first and still one of the best products was the Supersharp Liner from Kanebo Kate. But many Japanese brands have their own version of this kind of eyeliner now and today I proudly present you my current favorite and daily staple from the Kiss Me Heroine Make range.

The Smooth Liquid Eyeliner comes in the signature burgundy packaging and should be shaken before use (you will hear a click-click when shaking).

The applicator is a flexible slim brush which doesn´t splay at all. It applies the super fine line easily and evenly so to line my eyes I need about a minute or so. The ink is pretty black but I usually draw the line a couple of times.
You can also get a thicker line which works nicely, too.

Overall a perfect liquid liner anyone could use with great results, even beginners!

Costs around US$11-12 or so on Adambeauty and lasts for long time even with daily use. I have my pen for around 5-6 months now and use it almost daily. I used this liner with the majority of my previous EOTDs posted in eyeshadow reviews btw =)

Kiss Me Heroine Make Impact Frame & Curl Mascara in 01

I have to admit that the Long & Curl Mascara from Kiss Me Heroine Make has become my favorite and daily staple as it´s just the best mascara that is available right now and it´s at least as good as my previous HG from Majolica Majorca which has been discontinued anyway.

It was granted that I had to get their newest mascara, the Impact Frame & Curl Mascara which was added to the Heroine Make range very recently.

Seems Kiss Me got a cheap deal on black plastic and copperish golden ink as the new mascara and also the Milky Color Lips products from the Heavy Rotation line now come in those colors. I personally liked the burgundy tubes much better but well, it still looks nice.

The brush is quite interesting, it´s a hard ribbed plastic coil on one side and a regular mascara brush on the other. One should first coat the lashes with the coil-part and then use the brush for definition etc.
This really works well as the hard part can deposit a lot of mascara on the lashes and the brush is perfect for spreading the liquid, separating and defining the lashes. I only use the coil in the beginning for the first coat and then only use the brush for the additional coats as otherwise the lashes could probably get too wet or clumpy.

This mascara can hold the curl perfectly which astonished me a bit as the mascara has a slightly wet formula and it seems to contain fibers.
Just like the other Kiss Me mascaras this is hands-down an excellent product, gives perfectly long and lush lashes, especially when used in 2-3 coats.

Removal is a bit hard, you definitely need a remover for waterproof makeup but this also means the mascara doesn´t smudge during the day at all.
The only little flaw I can detect in this mascara is its tendency to flake a little. I usually notice about 3-4 small black crumbles on my cheeks during the day.

Overall a great mascara and affordable, too! I got mine from Alphabeautyuk who also kindly included a cute mechanical pencil but you can also buy this on Adambeauty.com for a really good price.
It´s honestly so hard for me to compare this with the regular Long & Curl Mascara...both mascaras give long lush lashes and keep the curl. The new version is a bit deeper in color whereas I never experience flaking with the regular version. So all in all both are equally good for me.

Before: Please note that my lashes are naturally quite long and dense but quite light and uncurled in their natural state thus they look almost non-existent on the pic below =)

Kiss Me Heroine Make Pencil Eyeliner 01 Black & Pencil Eyebrow 01 Dark Brown

I normally shy away from wooden makeup pencils as I just somehow dislike them. I prefer automatic liners as they are usually more convenient and often a bit on the harder side.

2 of the newest products in the Heroine Make line from Kiss Me are the Pencil Eyeliner and the Pencil Eyebrow.
They retail for 500 Yen/each (about US$6.50), I paid US$7/each on Adambeauty incl. shipping.

The Pencil Eyeliner features a sweet white pencil with the head of the "heroine" manga girl all over the pencil. It looks more like a normal pencil and my daughter already asked if she can have it for school =P

I was very surprised to find this eyeliner to be very smooth and pigmented and super easy to apply. I only use these kind of eyeliners on my lower and inner lids as I always use a felt-tip liner for my upper lids...and for this purpose this liner is really good it lasts very well, especially on the lower lids and it´s a deep black color. On the inner rims it lasts decently, it does fade by time but honestly all liners do this on me as the inner rims are wet so it´s hard to stay put there.

This doesn´t irritate my eyes at all like e.g. the Majolica Majorca Jeweling Liners do so for 7 bucks this is a pretty nice liner!
Comes in black and brown.

The Pencil Eyebrow is a hot pink pencil with the girl´s head printed all over, too.
I am actually not a fan of eyebrow pencils as they are often hard as hell and hard to apply. There are definitely good pencils out there but generally I just find powders to be more convenient and better to apply and dose.
I didn´t really expect to like this liner, especially after swatching it the first time as it was very hard and nearly didn´t give any color.

After swiping it over my hand a few times the hard top layer disappeared though so the pencil beneath was nice to spread and applied evenly.
The color 01 Dark Brown is a dark slightly grayish brown which looks very natural on me. I like that this doesn´t have any red tones as they don´t look good on me especially now that my hair is blackish brown.
The liner stays put all day on me so my brows stay nicely shaped and colored all day long.

I like this a lot as it´s really a nice product.

Kiss Me Heroine Make 5th Anniversary set - Long & Curl Mascara + Mascara Remover

Heroine Make by Kiss Me is releasing more and more interesting items. I picked up their 5th Anniversary kit on Adambeauty recently as it´s a great value for money pack (I paid US$14.50).

This set contains:
-Long & Curl Mascara
-Mascara Remover
I am not usually a fan of lengthening mascaras but I thought this looked pretty interesting and I have always liked the volume formula from Kiss Me Heroine Make.
The Mascara Remover isn´t a product I would have been interested to purchase usually but since the set just costs a few $ more than the mascara alone I thought it would be a nice chance to try this, too.
The Long & Curl Mascara comes in a pretty deep burgundy colored tube and contains 6ml. The brush is thin and curved so it´s easy to use this without smudging any mascara on my lids.
The mascara promises lasting curl and 120% more length through fibers, it contains lash repair ingredients and is water-resistant so it won´t smudge.
I expected the mascara to be nice as it´s very popular but when I tried it I was totally wowed by the wonderful results it gives. Seems these days I am unexpectedly lucky with choosing the right mascaras and this Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara is seriously one of the best I tried recently. It´s not a wet or heavy formula but rather lightweight and yet it spreads easily without giving the impression that the mascara is dry.
It keeps the curl all day long, separates my lashes to give a full feathery effect, makes them look long and adds a bit of thickness. The fibers don´t give ugly spider legs but just long lush lashes. The mascara could be a tad bit more black but actually it´s really just a perfect product.

This removes easily with cleansing oil and a bit of eye makeup remover but doesn´t smudge or flake during the day at all.

Before:
With a little of Majolica Majorca Lash Base and 3 coats of the Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara. First curled with a Koji curler.

The Mascara Remover comes in a cute pink tube with a coil-shaped comb applicator.
How to use: Just coat lashes with the liquid using the included comb, leave it on the eyes for 2-3 minutes and then wipe off with a cotton pad.
The liquid feels a bit oily but doesn´t sting or burn in my eyes.
This product definitely works and would be convenient for traveling since the container with 4ml will last through many removals however this product is totally inconvenient for daily use. The whole process takes about 4 minutes or so while washing everything off with cleansing oil and regular eye makeup remover takes 1-2 minutes max.

Rating 3/5

Overall a good value pack but the Mascara Remover is only useful if you travel a lot or to throw in your purse for those cases when you have/want to remove your mascara on the go.
The Long & Curl Mascara is really fab, so worth purchasing!

Kiss Me Heroine Make Essence In BB Cream SPF30 PA++

More and more Japanese brands seem to jump on the BB Cream bandwagon. I am very curious for Japanese BB Creams as in general they seem to be more lightweight than Korean ones probably due to using less silicone in their formulas.
My currenty favorite BB Cream which I use regularly is the Meishoku Moist Labo BB Cream in Natural as it´s very comfortable to wear and the color match is excellent for me.

Recently Kiss Me added a new BB Cream to their Heroine Make range. It comes in a tiny 25g tube made of white and pink plastic. Of course it comes cutely packed in the typical Heroine Make kind of packaging.

The Essence In BB Cream is supposed to be your miracle product with the following benefits:
-Pore coverage
-Oil control
-Skincare (contains Hyaluronic Acid and nano-sized Collagen)
-Makeup base
-Foundation (skin coverage)
-Sun protection (SPF30 PA++)
-Walk your dog and do your laundry (maybe lol)

I currently see only one color available (01 Natural Ocher).
The BB Cream is on the lighter side and will not suffocate your skin like some Korean BB Creams. Furthermore the coverage is decent (about sheer-medium I´d say).
I have a huge problem though... the color (as usual)! It´s waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too dark when I apply this. My swatch below doesn´t do the tan tone justice as it looks even darker when applied on my face. So unfortunately I didn´t wear this for longer than 2 minutes before I had to remove the BB Cream from my face. Probably this would suit about NC25-30 but this is just a guess.

I paid a bit below US$12 plus shipping (about US$2) so it´s one of (or even) the cheapest Japanese BB Cream I can think of right now.
I got it from Alphabeautyuk on eBay but you can also find this on Ichibankao. I am not sure if/when Adambeauty might get this.

Kiss Me Heroine Make Liquid Rouge 03 Berry Rose

At the time I was in Japan I spotted the Kiss Me Heroine Make mascaras and eyeliners in almost every drugstore... I didn't pick up anything as I wasn't sure if it would be of good quality. I really liked the cute Manga-style girl on the packaging though.
Later my friend Iris CPed me the volume mascara and I really liked it.

Recently I noticed that there was actually a very pretty lip color from Kiss Me Heroine Make so I decided to give it a try since it wasn't expensive and looked just gorgeous.

The Heroine Make Liquid Rouge comes in a normal wand-style tube. The applicator is a slim doe-foot style tip if that makes any sense. It applies the gloss evenly and smoothly.

I really love the formula of this gloss. It's slick, creamy and has enough pigment to show up nicely. It's not sticky or gooey at all. The formula is quite similar to my beloved Elizabeth OL Style Glosses I reviewed just a few posts below. The Elizabeth ones are a bit thicker though.

The Liquid Rouge has no scent at all. YAY! And the color is sheer perfection. It's a MLBB color on me as it looks like my lips, just half shade deeper, with intense glossy shine and very fine shimmer.
I picked color 03 Berry Rose and it's one of THE perfect lipgloss colors out there.

This is quite cheap at retail (800 Yen, about US$8 currently). I paid US$14.50 from ichibankao (shipping included).

The other colors are 01 Sugar Rose (looks like a pale pink) and 02 Apricot Rose (a rosey coral probably?)
