Tony Moly Mini Bunny Hand Cream Sweet Pink

If you see this post on another site than lotuspalace.blogspot.com it has been stolen and used without my permission. I only allow reposts with proper credits for my work (please contact me first!)!

Tony Moly released cute little hand creams and since they were out in pretty much all the drugstores in Hong Kong, especially in Sasa stores, I had to buy one!

What made me buy this Mini Bunny Hand Cream Sweet Pink was definitely the sweet pink tube with the bunnies =D I think there was at least one other kind available but I am a pink lover..

There isn´t much to say about this hand cream: it smells nice and feels moisturizing and did I mention the tube is so cute hehe =D
If you check the ingredients below you´ll notice that there are a lot of good ingredients in this cream like shea butter, urea, banana, papaya, mango etc. etc.

I carry this along with me in my purse all the time and it´s a really nice little gem to tote around!
Just be careful, the small cover can come off easily so be sure to screw it back tightly.

Rating 5/5 as there is nothing wrong about this stuff but on the contrary, it´s really nice!

Tony Moly Gold Black Sugar Mask

I actually had this Tony Moly Gold Black Sugar Mask face peeling pot sitting around in my backup storage for some time but didn't open it as I wanted to finish my beloved Skin79 Sweet Honey Sugar Scrub before opening my Tony Moly one.

Anyway, the Skin79 stuff is finished so I decided to break open my new Tony Moly scrub.

The Gold Black Sugar Mask is a thick paste with quite scratchy sugar crystals, very similar to the Skin79 one.
What I like about the Tony Moly version is that it doesn't give an oily residue like the one from Skin79 but rinses off rather well.
The Skin79 mask smells better though =) The Tony Moly mask smells pretty much like brown sugar, but only a very faint scent.
My skin is super soft after using this so I am very pleased with it.

I honestly don't remember how much the 100g jar of scrub was but definitely not more than US$6-7.

Various foundation swatches

I thought of swatching all my foundations for you.
The first pic shows my 6 Japanese foundations whereas pic #2 shows my 4 Korean ones.
As you can see I have a lot more BB Creams than foundations =P
I can wear all these foundations as they blend in with my skin but some are perfect matches and some just good or ok.

Japanese foundations:

1: Maquillage Climax Moisture Gel SPF12 PA+ in OC-00
2: Maquillage Climax Lasting Gel UV SPF24 PA++ in OC-00
3: Maquillage Climax Moisture Liquid SPF12 PA+ in OC-00
(as you can see all 3 MQ foundations look very different even though they're the same color code!)
4: Kate Liquid Foundation in BR-C (offers very little coverage)

5: DHC Q10 Moisture Care Liquid Foundation SPF25 PA++ in OC-00

6: Lunasol Water Cream Foundation SPF18 PA++ in OC-01

Korean foundations:

1: Etude House Baby Skin Foundation in #1
2: Tony Moly Watery Foundation in #13

3: Beauty Credit Lovely Q10 Foundation Moist SPF25 in #13

4: VOV Castledew Watershot Foundation in #19

For reference: I am a MAC NW15 but the swatches were taken on my arm which is about 1-2 shades lighter than my face.

Tony Moly Dual Eye Concealer

I am somehow a sucker for eye concealers. I have no clue why but somehow they appeal to me. Maybe because a good eye concealer makes my eyes look more awake and brighter in an instant? Possibly.

I ordered the Dual Eye Concealer from Tony Moly along with the Shimmer Lover Partylover and some skin care a few weeks ago so I had plenty of time to test the concealer.

The Dual Eye Concealer comes with a concealer stick on one side and a sheer liquid highlighter on the other.
There are 2 colors, yellow and salmon and I settled on salmon as it looked more suitable for me.
The coverage the stick side offers is about medium which is easily sufficient to cover my light eye circles. The pale salmon shade is perfect and gives a pretty brightening effect.

The liquid highlighter side is rather sheer with a pearlescent finish. It adds a pretty extra dose of brightening to the inner corners of the eyes.

I paid 12000 Won for this (about US$9.50) which is quite affordable. Etude House's Dark Circle Concealer is cheaper and I still like it more but has been discontinued. The Tony Moly concealer is a good alternative.

Tony Moly Shimmer Lover Partylover

After purchasing quite a bunch of Tony Moly makeup I didn't really see many things I wanted to add to my most previous purchase. However I spotted an item I didn't see when I placed my first order and it looked quite pretty and worthwhile to have.

The product is called Shimmer Lover Partylover (sorry, what a dumb name!) and is a baked shimmery blusher/highlighter/eyeshadow compact just like a shimmer brick.
The Shimmer Lover comes in a pretty matte black case with a shiny black flower print. It looks sleek and modern but a vintage-style case would have been cute, too.

Like other shimmer bricks this has a rather hard texture with a very shimmery finish. The level of pigment is on the sheer side so you will need a few swipes to make this show up somewhat. I am someone who prefers sheer-medium blushers as very pigmented ones can look too overdone quickly against my pale complexion but the Shimmer Lover is a bit too sheer for my taste. It takes about 4-5 swiped on each cheek to get a pretty pink shimmery color to show up.

It's not bad but a bit more pigment would have been lovely. According to Tony Moly this is a multitasking product to be used on cheeks and eyes but I am not so much into pink eyeshadows.

The Shimmer Lover Partylover also comes in a warm brown/bronze combination. As I had the intention to use it as a blusher I settled on the pink one.
I paid about 13000 Won for mine which is quite affordable for a shimmer brick.

Tony Moly Rice Cleansing Oil & Honey Bubble Foam Cleanser

Since my Skin Food Honey Black Tea Cleansing Oil is nearly finished I decided to try the Rice Cleansing Oil from Tony Moly. And because I am a sucker I got a bottle of their Honey Bubble Foam Cleanser, too.

I have great luck with Tony Moly's skincare so far so I thought giving their cleansing oil a shot won't hurt.

-The Rice Cleansing Oil comes in a square bottle in an acid green color and a pump dispenser. The pump is a huge improvement over the Skin Food Oil as using a squeeze bottle for liquids isn't really that interesting (yea, drowned my hand in cleansing oil this way before...very wasteful).

For 7800 Won (less than US$6) you get a whopping 245ml of cleansing oil. I think that's quite affordable for the amount you get.

The Rice Cleansing Oil has a rather light non-greasy texture. It feels more like a slightly oily liquid gel. The scent is fresh but carries a very light alcohol note, too. I am not sure if it contains alcohol as the ingredients are written in Korean though.
The cleansing power of this is really good, I just rub some on my dry face (with dry hands), then with a bit of water I emulsify it and then rinse it off. I follow with a bit of a foam cleanser and my face is clean without any makeup traces left.
Overall I quite like this except for the alcohol smell. I am not sure if I'd repurchase it, I'll probably try something else next time (I have an eye on that Lotree Cleansing Oil....)

-The Honey Bubble Foam Cleanser is one of those cleansers that comes out of the bottle as foam so it's really fun.
I haven't had one of those for my face yet, only bought the ones for my kids as they love using it to wash their hands and in the bathtub.

Anyway, the Honey Bubble Foam Cleanser comes in a
huge bottle with a cute vintage print.
The pump dispenses the foam evenly, about 1-2 pumps are enough for my face.
What I really like about this is that it's the most moisturizing foamy face wash I found recently. It really leaves a very soft and moisturized feeling to my skin after washing it off.
The face wash carries a light scent, like a powdery honey scent. Not my favorite fragrance but not too bad either.
I think it cleanses my face well, I like to use it after the cleansing oil to remove any last traces of the oil.

The Honey Bubble Foam Cleanser retails for 8500 Won (about US$6.50) for a 150ml bottle.

First venture into Tony Moly skincare

I've been trying out my Tony Moly skincare purchases for almost 2 weeks now and feel ready to review them =)

I purchased 2 large gift boxes containing a total of 4 full-sized skincare items, 2 mini lip tints and 2 mini lipglosses (yes, another bunch of those cute little Sweety Lipglosses!)

Now that I have done the math it seems that ordering the items individually comes out to be a bit cheaper. But since you get mini lipgloss and tint and a nice gift box I didn't mind paying a buck or 2 extra.

The first box I ordered contains:

-Hydra Moisture Honey Skin Toner 160ml
-Hydra Moisture Honey Skin Emulsion 160ml

Both items come in very heavy pretty glass bottles with a cute print on the label.
I am not really a fan of glass bottles for anything that's not 100% liquid as getting out the emulsion and even the toner (as it has a sort of runny gel texture) can be a bit of pain in the butt.
Anyway, away from that the products are both lovely.

The toner is very mild so it doesn't sting or burn when I use it. It feels refreshing and preps my skin perfectly for the emulsion.
The emulsion is a lightweight moisturizing lotion which provides just enough nutrition for my skin. I think this would be best for normal to slightly dry skin-types.

Both products are scented lightly (unfortunately not a honey scent) and don't cause any irritations on my skin.
(I want to add that my skin is super clear without red bumps these days despite test-driving so much stuff on my face which usually drives my skin nuts... I believe it's the positive influence of my BB Creams and one of the following 2 items...)
I paid about 20000-21000 Won for the box

The other box contains:

-Cocoa Foam Cleansing 150ml
-Happy Dream Sleeping Pack Q10 120ml

The Cocoa Foam Cleansing is a pretty average creamy cleansing foam that doesn't dry out my skin like other foams tend to do. It produces rich lather and effectively cleanses my skin. It carries a lovely faint chocolate scent.

The Happy Dream Sleeping Pack Q10 is the most outstanding product and like liquid gold for me. It improved my skin within the previous couple of weeks immensely (at least i believe so as it's the only thing I have been really using daily). While I didn't use the other Tony Moly skincare items daily (I rotated with Banila Co and Cathy Cat stuff) I faithfully used the Q10 Sleeping Pack every night to wake up to perfectly soft and smooth skin.

You just apply the Sleeping Pack as last step of your evening skincare routine and that's it. It's a light milky gel with a faint fresh orange/citrus scent that feels a bit sticky upon application. The sticky feeling doesn't last long though and the mask is absorbed nicely after a few minutes.
I will definitely buy more of this (unless I find something even better) and will always have 1 or 2 backups at home
I paid 15600 or so for my box.

There is a big variety of cleansing foams and other toners and emulsions available. I can see only 2 sleeping packs: Whitening and Q10 but there are several other normal face masks available.

I also got 3 free sheet masks from Tony Moly:

2x Strawberry Yogurt and 1x Kiwi Yogurt. I tried one of the strawberry masks and it's quite nice. I am actually seduced to order some of the other available kinds =D

Tony Moly Multi Sherbet Lip Balms

I haven't ventured yet much into Korean lip care but I received 2 pretty tins with lipbalm along with my first Tony Moly order.

I mainly got the Multi Sherbet Lip Balms because I loved the cute vintage-style metal tins they come in.

I believe there were 3 flavors available of which I picked out Peppermint and Peach. Both balms are rather hard but melt beautifully once you swipe your finger across them. I love this kind of texture as it means I don't get too much gunk on my lips but get enough to moisturize and nourish the skin.

Both balms feel cooling (love this effect!) and calming which is very pleasant of course.
The Peppermint balm has a very slight minty scent whereas Peach balm carries a peach-peppermint fragrance I really love. I have to say Peach is definitely my fave out of the 2.

I paid 5500 Won/each and I think I'll repurchase Peach and might like to try Acerola.

2 Lipstick Favorites: Etude Kissade & Tony Moly Berryberry Lovely Stick

I have to admit that I generally prefer Japanese lipsticks over Korean ones as their color selection and texture is just better in most cases.
However I found 2 lipsticks among my recent purchases I am really liking:
Etude Kissade Lipstick in PK002 and Tony Moly Berryberry Lovely Stick in WNLS01 (what a name!).
It seems that most Korean brands offer warmer and brighter colors, often with glitters so this seems to be rather popular in Korea. However I prefer muted colors with a sheer-medium pigmented texture and a little shimmer but no glitter.

-Etude Kissade Lipstick in PK002:

This comes in a cute dusty pink metal tube. I think it looks cute but not overly girly.
The texture is quite nice, rather moisturizing and lightweight and the shimmer is very subtle.

The color is a pretty muted pink which works very well with my pale complexion. It goes on slightly brighter than it looks in the tube so it makes my skin look more radiant.
The lipstick carries a light fragrance but it doesn't bug me at all.

I paid 6800 Won (seller miincos on Gmarket) (about US$5.70 right now) which is a steal (considering that's less than €5).

-Tony Moly Berryberry Lovely Stick in WNLS01:

I really love the cute tube this comes in! You just pull out the stick out of the huge cap with a cute little green ribbon.
The stick is a bit smaller than most other lipsticks but I wouldn't call it a mini lipstick (like Lavshuca's Jewel Lips)
The texture is really lovely and smooth and the finish is a semi-sheer satin cream.

The color I got is a pretty muted raspberry pink with very light brown tones. On me it looks pretty much like my lips but about 2 shades deeper.

I can't detect a strong scent at all which is always a plus for me.
I paid 6300 Won (Gmarket seller tonymoly1).

Both lipsticks wear well (about 3 hours or so) and feel comfortable and lightweight on my lips (I hate heavy waxy lipsticks).

Tony Moly Honey Makeup Base & Watery Foundation

My first Tony Moly haul was quite massive and included their Honey Makeup Base and the Watery Foundation in #13. I got the base because honey sounds yummy =P And the foundation because it comes in the super light color #13.
Both items are very affordable at only 8800 Won/each (about US$6.60 at the current exchange rate)

The Honey Makeup Base and Watery Foundation come in pretty heavy 30ml (around 1 fl.oz.) glass bottles with pump dispensers.

-Honey Makeup Base:

The honey base is a cream with a light green tint. I really love green primers as they tone down the natural redness in my cheeks well. The base offers very light coverage but counteracts and red spots or areas nicely.
The cream has a light scent, not really honey but sweet and pleasant.
I don't know how much this improves the wear of the foundation but my makeup stayed on very well until I removed it. The cool weather definitely does a good job in keeping my makeup fresh though.

-Watery Foundation:

This is a lightweight foundation with sheer-medium coverage. It goes on smoothly and doesn't clump up or look cakey. The finish is very lightly dewy and even. I still prefer my Castledew foundation though which costs even 1000 Won less and contains 15ml more (plus the bottle is way cuter).

The color I got (#13) is a perfect very pale match for me with very light yellow undertones.
This product is lightly fragranced.

I like both items and they're good value for money. They aren't HG material for me though

Tony Moly Highlight Blushers in #02 and 06

Marbled baked blushers! You know I couldn't resist =) When I found these babies in the Tony Moly shop on Gmarket (seller tonymoly11) I had to pick the 2 up that looked most wearable for me.

The Highlight Blushers come in quite simple plastic compacts. I think that's a tad bit disappointing as Tony Moly knows how to do pretty packaging (I'd have preferred pretty vintage cases or something).

The baked blushes are on the harder side but they still have enough pigment to give me a pretty soft flush of color. If you prefer highly pigmented blushes these aren't really for you though.
As with most baked blushes these give a shimmery, almost dewy finish which I'm really liking right now =) Perfect for dark fall or snowy winter days!

Each compact comes with a cheek brush but it can't be placed inside the compact.

These are relatively expensive for Tony Moly as they retail for 18000 Won/each.

I picked up the 2 pink colors:
#02: Soft warm pink

#06: Cooler rose pink

All in all these are very worth picking up if you like sheer blushes with a shimmery finish. Otherwise I suggest you skip them.

Tony Moly Mini cosmetics gift sets

Tony Moly (seller tonymoly11 on Gmarket) sell some of their popular items in mini sizes so you can try them for an inexpensive price before you splurge on the full size.
I purchased 3 mini cosmetics kits in my first order from them and have to say those make super cute gifts, too, as they are packaged in really pretty gift boxes.
Each kit cost me 4800 Won (about US$3.50 at current exchange rate) which makes a cute and inexpensive present or a great way to try out some of their goodies.

I purchased:

-6 Sweety Lipglosses:

I actually could have skipped these as those mini lipglosses are thrown into all gift boxes and I received 3 extra pieces along with other freebies with my order.
Anyway, these are super cute! These are tiny lipglosses that come in the most adorable boxes and are available in 3 colors: 01 Lovely Pink (super sheer pink), 02 Shiny Orange (beautiful sheer peach with shimmer), 03 Glossy Red (sheer glossy red).

All colors are very sheer and have a slick rather than sticky feeling. The formula is on the liquid side which is good as the globe-shaped little bottles would make picking up lipgloss with the doe-foot applicator a bit difficult.
The lipglosses are available separately for 1000 Won/each. There is also a mini liptint (really nice stuff, comes without a box)

-Expert Triple Blemish Balm Cream SPF45 PA++ & 3 Sweety Lipglosses in 01, 02 and 03.

You get 10g of the BB Cream and all 3 mini glosses so for 4800 Won that's a really sweet deal. You can check my review on the BB Cream in the post below.

The mini BB Cream is also available separately for 3500 Won.

-Relaxing Body Lotion & Relaxing Body Cleanser White Musk & 2 Sweety Lipglosses (I got 02 and 03).

The body lotion and shower gel contain 60ml each so they make good travel sizes. The scent is a pretty soft musk scent.

There are several other kits available on Gmarket, mainly body care duos.

BB Creams: Quick comparison V

Since my last quick comparison post I accumulated another stash of BB Creams =) I am totally addicted to BB Creams... I think it's the ease of using them and the pretty finish they give.
I was always first drawn towards eyeshadow palettes but nowadays the first thing I like to check out in a brand totally new to me is a BB Cream =X

Anyways, I have accumulated another 8 new BB Creams so it's about time to post short reviews and swatches.

1: Lioele Water Drop BB Lioele Aqua Makeup SPF27 PA++:

I have already reviewed this here.
It's very lightweight and sheer but gives a very moisturized soft feeling to my skin. However even though it's sheer the color is too dark for me.
I got this in the kit for 29000 Won (the kit also included a lipgloss, blusher and 5 sheet masks)
The cream is only lightly scented.
Squeeze-tube contains 50ml

2: Clio Whitening BB Cream SPF17:

I found this on Gmarket by coincidence. It was supposed to come with a free mini lipgloss trio and a powder but the seller (the one listed in my Gmarket sellers list who carries Banila Co) seems o have forgotten my gift =(
The BB Cream has the typical thicker texture and offers sheer-medium coverage. However the color is too dark for me (though it looks light and applies light but oxidises after short time) and the scent of the BB Cream is a bit strong. It's nothing special.
I paid 27000 Won for this 60ml tube

3: Banila Co Let Me Finish Prime BB Cream SPF 27 PA++:

I have reviewed the other Let Me Finish Multiple BB Cream SPF27 PA++ here.
The Prime BB Cream offers a higher sunscreen than the Multiple one but otherwise I honestly can't tell much of a difference away from the color.
The Prime BB Cream has a slightly lighter texture than most other BB Creams and offers sheer-medium coverage. The color match is ok for my skin-tone though it's on the darker side of the spectrum whereas the Multiple BB Cream is quite pale and pink-toned.
The pump-dispenser squeeze tube is a nice and hygienic way of packaging.
I paid 20000 Won for my 35ml tube and received a free Aqua Gloss, some samples and a box of cottons as extras.

4: Rita Rove W So Lightsome BB Cream for all skin types:

I already reviewed this here.
This is a great basic BB Cream with sheer-medium coverage and the typical light grayish pink color and thicker waxy texture that most BB Creams come in.
I can't detect a scent.
This came as free gift with the purchase of 2 W So Lightsome powders. Contains 50ml.

5: Etude House Speedy Total Base SPF35 PA++ 3 in 1:

This is not labeled as a BB Cream but I see it listed on eBay as a BB Cream and the concept of having your makeup base, foundation and sunscreen in 1 product is typical for BB Creams.
The cream comes in a cute pink squeeze-tube and comes in 2 colors. The lighter color of the two is #2 which is unusual. I guess they first only sold it in color #1 and decided to release a lighter-toned one later so it ended up being #2. Anyway, the cream is really pale and doesn't have the typical gray undertone, rather a peachy tone to it.
It blends in nicely with my natural skin color but offers only sheer coverage. The texture is also lighter than the typical BB Cream.
It's a good choice if you have little to cover and prefer a BB Cream without gray tones.
It carries a slightly strong floral perfume.
The tube contains 50ml and costs only 9500 Won.

6: Jadilla J Skinguard BB Plus:

As I noted in one of my earlier Jadilla J posts this was the BB Cream I initially wanted to get instead of the Whitening BB Plus but it looked dark in the pic so I skipped it. Well, curiosity won and I ended up ordering it (it came with a lip tint, mini powder compact and BB Cream deluxe sample tube).

The Skinguard BB Plus comes in an iridescent pale pink tube which looks very cute and princessy.
However, the color is too dark as I had expected. I think this would work very well if you're naturally lightly tan or about a NC25-30 in MAC.
Is lightly scented (a fresh pleasant perfume) and contais 50ml.
I paid 23000 or so for my tube incl. the gifts included.

7: Tony Moly BB Expert Triple Blemish Balm Cream SPF 45 PA+++:

I believe this is the BB Cream with the strongest sunscreen (Missha Perfect Cover is very good, too).
I quite like this BB Cream as it is a good color match and offers medium coverage. It has the typical thick texture and grayish undertones I am used to from most BB Creams.
Tony Moly Expert BB Cream has a light pleasant scent and applies very smoothly.
The tube contains 50ml.
I believe I paid about 15000 Won for my tube.

8: Tony Moly Secret BB Cream Brighter:

This comes in the most adorable box and tube. Very vintage and cute! I really love it!
The cream comes in the colors "Brighter" and "Natural". I decided to go for the lighter version and I am really pleased with it.
This is the perfect choice if you can't pull off the gray tones in most pale BB Creams. The Secret BB Cream sports a more peachy color but manages not to look orange on me but really brightens up my complexion.
It offers only sheer coverage despite its thick texture but with a tiny bit of foundation, concealer and powder the result is perfect.
Carries a light scent and makes my skin feel super soft.
This is quite cheap at about 9800 Won for 50ml.

You can probably expect a Quick Comparison VI soon hehe. I have the Skin79 Dream Girl BB Cream and couple of others coming in the mail =D

Here are the other comparisons I did:
BB Creams: Quick comparison
BB Creams: Quick comparison II
BB Creams: Quick comparison III
BB Creams: Quick comparison IV
