B&C Body Parfait Body Whip Cream Vanilla & Mix Berry

If you see this post on another site than lotuspalace.blogspot.com it has been stolen and used without my permission. I only allow reposts with proper credits for my work (please contact me first!)!

For some weird reason it was a bit difficult finding Japanese body care in Hong Kong, especially body lotions. Maybe they are just not that popular with that hot and humid weather?

Anyway, in the Bonjour store in Mong Kok opposite of Langham Place I found this really amazingly cool body cream product from B&C Laboratories!
It looks like a can of whipped cream but be careful, it´s not intended to be ingested =)

The bottle is really cute! It´s also quite huge and heavy and contains 200ml of the Body Parfait Body Whip Cream.
The scent is really good, the name "Vanilla & Berry Mix" pretty much describes what it smells like.

The texture of this stuff is amazing. It´s a very thick mousse really resembling the thick fluffy texture of whipped cream so using a little goes a long way as the cream is so thick and won´t just disappear like a regular foam. It´s a very lush and indulging feeling to use this cream =)
It´s not the most moisturizing body cream I have encountered but it gives me soft, nourished, touchable and nicely scented skin for a long time.

I don´t remember the exact price but I think it was around US$10 or so. Retail price in Japan is 1260 Yen.

Overall I love this stuff, I am almost addicted! I am happy I got a 2nd can from Hong Kong =)

This totally deserves a rating of 5/5

B&C Everyver Girl Lip Gloss in Lovely Pink, Pink Beige and Natural Beige

B&C is quite famous for the lipglosses, especially those super thick and sticky ones..
The Everyver Girl Lip Glosses seem to be one of the newest addition to their lineup featuring 3 super natural colors. The glosses are made of around 85% lipcare ingredients like collagen, jojoba oil and squalene.

I got all 3 colors as I thought these looked pretty cute and wearable. These come in very simple brown and clear plastic tubes but they are also rather inexpensive (Jap. retail price is 588 Yen/each).
The applicator is a rather mediocre lip brush but it´s doing its job anyway.

The texture of these glosses is rather slick, a little thin and very sheer. The finish is glossy but not super mirror-finish.
Honestly for me the glosses just feel mediocre. I am not a fan of super sheer glosses and I personally prefer a thicker and more sticky texture as this also increases glossiness and lasting power.

These aren´t scented which is always something I am grateful for.

Colors from left to right are Lovely Pink, Pink Beige and Natural Beige

Overall I am not fond of these as they are just downright boring. I got mine from alphabeautyuk on eBay.

B&C Clear Last Premium Dreamy Skin Primer SPF 20 PA++ in Pink Veil

Maybe you are familiar with B&C´s Clear Last range... I reviewed couple of makeup bases from them before and I still like them.
The Clear Last Premium range is a bit more princessy and more expensive than the regular Clear Last brand so I didn´t give a try to anything as I am really overly stocked with face primers.

Sasa is having a promo currently where you can buy the Dreamy Skin Primer for a mere US$11.50 whereas the retail price is 2100 Yen (approx. US$26 currently)...if you want to purchase this product then now is your chance I´d say.
I admit I got the base mainly because I though US$11.50 is a really good price and I can never pass up a good deal =P

The little jar this comes in is very pretty, a peachy pink pearly princessy tub which even is adorned with a small heart-shaped rhinestone!

The Dreamy Skin Primer comes in 2 colors, "Pink Veil" and "Ocher Veil" and naturally I chose the pink version for my fair skin-tone.

The cream is quite thick and moisturizing, perfect for dry skin/cold weather but too heavy and rich for oily skin or for hot weather I´d guess. The light peachy pink color is very translucent so all I notice is that it slightly evens out my skin and plumps it up a little due to its very moisturizing formula. It´s a great base as makeup applie evenly and feels comfortable all day long.

This makeup base has a very pleasant scent, like a soft peachy/fruity fragrance so in this case I actually like that it´s scented!
I can´t see any shimmer in this and my skin doesn´t feel irritated at all. On the contrary, the makeup base seems to be a really good product to keep my skin in its currently close-to-perfect condition. Also contains a sun protection of SPF20 PA++.

Overall an excellent rich moisturizing makeup base recommended for normal-dry skin.

B&C Clear Last W Hyaluronate Moisture Essence SPF16 PA++ & Face Concealer

Yea I know I wrote a lot about skincare, bodycare and hair stuff over the previous weeks... I hope I am not boring anyone! I used to be pretty strictly a makeup blog only but started to branch out to other cool Japanese beauty products away from makeup =D (I somehow don´t have so much new makeup to review right now as I skipped quite a few Spring collections but looking forward to the summer stuff from Majolica Majorca and others!). I still have a few items to review though (Fasio mascara, Maquillage eyeshadow, Coffret D´or lippies etc. so expect more makeup review coming soon!)

Anyway, here is a makeup review =D Well, 2 Clearlast makeup bases from B&C so something between skincare and makeup at least =D

I´ve spotted these makeup bases for some time now on Adambeauty but since I have a ton of makeup bases somehow didn´t feel the urge to order them. I still have too many makeup bases but suddenly really wanted to try these ones from B&C out so I ordered the W Hyaluronate Moisture Essence SPF16 PA++ (Treatment Primer) and the Face Concealer (Base Make Primer) from Clearlast.

What attracted me was the pretty pastel packaging (yes, again I admit I am shallow!). The tubes are very tiny though (only 20g per tube!!) so they´re not really what I´d call value for money (I paid US$13 incl. shipping which is actually less than the Japanese retail price of 1260 Yen!).

W Hyaluronate Moisture Essence SPF16 PA++ Treatment Primer:
The Moisture Essence comes in a pale pink tube.
This is a moisturizing makeup base with a little color so it will even out the skin-tone a little.

The Moisture Essence is really nice and makes my skin very soft and smooth and the added color gives a nice smooth canvas for the following foundation.
This is tinted in a light yellow beige but it´s so sheer that it blend into my natural skin-tone without any problems.

Something a bit unusual for Japanese brands is the fragrance. It´s a light floral scent which bothers me a little anc could be really annoying for others.

Face Cocealer Base Make Primer:
This comes in the light yellow tube.
It´s a lovely liquid powdery base giving a velvety finish to the skin. To me this feels more oil-controlling than any of the other makeup bases I use however it´s not drying in my opinion. So when you smooth this on it first feels like a soft cream but quickly transforms into a powdery texture.

The Face Concealer has a bit of a medium beige tint to it but this is as sheer as the other base that it blends into my skin really well without giving a yellow or ocher tint I was expecting when I saw the color the first time.

This also seems to give a hint of pearlescence but it´s nearly not visible.
Since this offers super sheer coverage it evens out the skin-tone a little bit but not dramatically so.
This is perfumed, too!

Overall I am quite happy with both bases as they create a nice smooth base for foundation and even out my skin-tone slightly. They don´t irritate my skin (I actually thought they would due to the scent and the yellow one due to the powdery texture).
I could live without the perfume though and think for the price they should come in larger tubes (30g or more!)

B&C Lemon Hand Cream

And yet another short body care review...

I received this cute lemon shaped pot of hand cream some time ago and just recently got around to using it (when it comes to body and face care I try to use up something before I use something new).

The Lemon Hand Cream from B&C smells like lemons but with a slight sour and bitter note (more like a grapefruit to me). Not my favorite kind of scent but not bad either.
It´s a thick and moisturizing cream and makes my hands really soft and smooth.
The 30g jar cost me about US$7 but it didn´t last me longer than a week or so as I used the cream daily. My kids directly stole the empty jar to play with =)

All in all a nice hand cream but my current favorite is the one from Juju Aquamoist!

B&C Makemania Jewel Fever Gloss PINK

B&C (used to be Sony CP) has gained some fame for their glosses (the Lip Silicone ones) and recently they added this Jewel Fever Gloss in PINK to their Makemania range.

I believe the Jewel Fever Gloss comes in 3 colors (clear, beige and pink) which is the usual color range found from this brand.

The Jewel Gloss comes in a twist-up pen with a clear flat plastic spatula applicator. You twist the bottom and the gloss will ooze out of a hole on the applicator.

The gloss is on the thicker and stickier side so it gives a very glossy finish with mirror shine.
This is neither scented nor flavored which is typical among Japanese brands.

The color PINK is a very sheer neutral pink with fine golden shimmer. It´s very pretty though not extraordinary at all.

I got mine from Adambeauty. You can also get this on Sasa. Both shops have this listed somewhere around US$10-12 if I remember right.

B&C Celeblous Gelina Cheek in 03 Naked Skin

I don't really own a lot of B&C stuff but I know they produce Love Clover - a brand with really nice blushes.

When browsing Sasa I found an interesting little blush for US$11.60 called "Celeblous Gelina Cheek". Even though the name sounded really weird in my opinion I really wanted to give the neutral color 03 Naked Skin a try as it looked like a perfect go-to color.

For some reason (probably that "Gelina" I believed that this was a gel or cream blush but to my delight it's a powder blusher.

The blusher comes in a cute little clear jar with golden glitters sprinkled throughout the plastic. It comes with a cute animal print puff with a dark pink bow.

The texture is really nice, pigmented and smooth. The finish is a shimmery, nearly frosty color. Used with a light hand on an otherwise matte base this looks really gorgeous and gives a fresh and healthy glow.

The color 03 is a neutral pinked beige which works so well with the majority of my lipsticks and glosses.

I got this from Sasa for US$11.60. You can also get this on Jpmon for NT$464 (about US$14).

The other 2 colors available are a pink and an orangey brown I think.
