Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring in #1 Deep Black

Jumping on the Japanese bubble hair dye bandwagon Etude House released their own version offering 4 colors of foaming hair dye. I picked up the red and black ones but won´t be using the red one any time soon.
Currently I love my hair darker, if possible a deep ashy black so the Bubble Hair Coloring in #1 Deep Black looked right up my alley.

Here are the contents of the kit:
You get a bottle, a bigger sachet with the 2nd agent you have to pour inside the bottle, hair treatment (I believe it´s a leave-in type but haven´t tried it), instructions, gloves and cape.
This hair color contains "Micro Bubble Booster" which helps in creating a very dense and fluffy lather and in my honest opinion that´s quite true, this is one of the finest bubble hair dyes I have tried so far, giving me the feeling that the texture of the Prettia dyes is a bit outdated.
This is used like most other hair dyes: mix the 2 agents in the bottle, don´t shake, only gently tilt the bottle a few times, put on the gloves and cape, apply bubble dye to dry hair evenly coating all your hair, leave on for around 30 mins, rinse color, wash with shampoo and conditioner/treatment and dry.

To me the dye feels quite mild, there is no overly pungent smell and my hair feels quite soft and nice after dyeing and washing. Staying power is quite good, I re-dyed my hair with the same color about 5 weeks after the first as my roots started to show.
Overall a good hair dye though honestly there isn´t much a company could do wrong about black hair color! Love the super fine foam and ease of application as there is absolutely no dripping or mess during application.
I got this on Gmarket for around US$7 from etudegmark.
Overall this gets a
Rating of 5/5 for the #1 Deep Black color

More from Gmarket...

As I said earlier I ordered quite another bunch of stuff from Gmarket and since they are lightning fast over there at Gmarket everything arrived as of today despite placing my orders like mid-end last week!

This is a very pic-heavy post so accept my apologies if it takes longer to load..
i want to add a general observation first... it seems many sellers got the message that it´s very annoying to over-estimate the shipping weight as this means the buyer will pay a very high amount upfront and even though there will be a refund it´s always stuck in the Gaccount... e.g. etudegmark (Etude House ) used to put an estimated shipping weight of 1.1kg per item, now e.g. the eyeshadow palette I ordered had an estimated weight of 0.2kg which is more logic.
As a matter of fact I noticed many sellers put a weight that´s way lower than the actual item, e.g. I ordered some 450ml body lotion with an estimated weight of 0.3kg...that can´t work. I must stress you to alwaysy check your overseas shipping status as the package will be held until the fees are paid and you are not getting an email to request the payment...so you must check your order status incl. international daily!

Since LP is a beauty blog I´ll start with my beauty goodies...

Etude House:
i had to get some of those new bubble hair dyes! I got the darkest color (Deep Black) and this is really a great hair dye, very mild and super easy to use. Also got an eyeshadow palette (seems like great quality, the best from EH so far), a pouch (perfect for carrying my stationery with me...a cash book, memo note, some pens, stickers, business cards etc.) and the super cute 4 new hand creams! Freebie was a purse organizer/makeup bag

Happy Bath haul (various sellers):
Lots of 450ml body lotion bottles, body oil, hand cream, body wash, face cleanser and 2 travel kits.... just do a search for 해피바스 and you´ll find lots of offers for Happy Bath stuff. It´s worth comparing prices and offers as there are quite big differences.

Some hair dyes from Amore Pacific Welcos Confume. Most hair dye auctions are quite tough as there are so many different brands etc. packed in one listing.
Also got hair dyes from Mise en scéne, love that deep purple so curious how it will turn out once I use it =)
I like how most Korean hair dyes seem to contain a plastic cape, something I miss among Western and even Japanese brands.

Also got these 2 body lotions, they cost like around US$9 together! In the same auction (200768421) you can get 2 bottles of 450ml Happy Bath body milk for as little as around US$7.20 for both...that´s quite a steal.
I chose options 5 (Inselene Olive Premium Body Essence Lotion 510g) and 9 (Body Phren Body Lotion Vanilla Milk 500g)...the 3rd drop-down menu lets you choose if you need Saturday delivery if I am not wrong.

And here are the accessories and stationery items I hauled. I got a purse (looks ok, a bit cheap though), purse organizer (love this! By coincidence the freebie from Etude House was a purse organizer, too, but much lower quality of course), wallet, card case, iphone case, bankbook pouch (good for stationery or smaller makeup items) and some pretty pens and day planners.

As of right now there is only one smaller Gmarket haul which might arrive within this week. It only contains a few bottles of Redflo hair care and couple of body care items.

i think there is no need to buy new body lotions or shower gels for the next 10000 years for me now haha! But actually some bottles will go as gifts to my mom and friends so I will have a good reason to order more stuff soon haha =D

Fresh Light Blythe Bubble Hair Color in Sugar Ash

Woohoo, yet another new Japanese bubble hair dye! I love bubble hair dyes as they are super convenient aka less messy and one pack can usually last for all my hair unlike conventional dye which usually takes 2 packages thus makes it more pricey.

The Fresh Light Blythe hair dye in Natural Black is one of my favorite colors (review here), a gorgeous ashy black but one that doesn´t look too goth on me.
Since my favorite ebay seller was (and still is) out of stock of the Natural Black dye I decided to pick up another ashy color (Sugar Ash)..albeit lighter in tone I thought it should be able to do the trick with my medium brown and slightly reddish hair (from previous dyes).

I actually didn´t read the auction description so I somehow missed that bubble part...man was I delighted when I got my package containing 2 packs (as I ordered 2 expecting to need them for 1 application) of the Sugar Ash hair dye and I noticed that these are in fact bubble dyes!

In fact this is the most convenient bubble hair dye I have come across so far. The pump dispenser is a high-quality product you might know from various face washes releasing super fine and dense bubbles that are a breeze to apply. After using the hair color I actually threw the bottle in the dishwasher to save for later, if I mix some body wash and water this can make a grand body washing foam (or face washing foam even). There are also good gloves included, not that flimsy thin plastic type the give us here!

Fresh Light suggest putting the pump bottle into the dye box (there is a round section of the box that can easily be removed) as it´s a stable stand for the bottle. This works really perfectly and pumping the foam out is very easy and not as exhausing as pushing that bottle from the Prettia hair dyes (I really get a cramp in my arm when using Prettia!)!

As I said above the foam is super dense and rich and one bottle can easily cover all my hair (about shoulder-blade length), the foam stays on my head without dripping around and the result came out really evenly.
This hair color has a quite pungent ammonia smell paired with a fruity scent but definitely the ammonia is a bit overwhelming.

After washing my hair it felt a little dry but a bit of the Essential Honey & Shea Butter Rich Premier Hair Mask took care of that immediately. That´s my go-to hair treatment after dying my hair, nothing works as well as this so I always skip the hair care pack included with the hair dyes.

The color I got is a really nice deep ash with more gray than brown tones so I really love this result and it is very flattering for my cool-toned skin-tone. There are no blue, red or orange tones to detect at all.

I was stupid and forgot to take a before pic, sorry! Here is the result I got:

Overall this is really an excellent hair dye and one of the best ones from Japan I tried so far.. and I am glad I have the 2nd box as a backup now!

Rating 5/5 but please keep in my mind I didn´t test this hair color for longer so I cannot comment on the staying power yet... though I expect it to be good as the Natural Black color really lasted extremely well!

Fresh Light Blythe Doll Hair Color in Natural Black

I am not a fan of Blythe...somehow I just find these dolls creepy, sorry! Of course this didn´t prevent me from buying the Blythe Doll Hair Color from Fresh Light as these hair dyes seem to are quite popular and I am a hair-dye-junkie so I picked up couple of boxes in the color Natural Black.

There are lots of colors incl. a Cool Black which seems to have more blue-tones than the Natural Black which leans towards an ashy color.

I got 2 kits to dye my long hair. This is what the kits contain:

The hair dye is to be used on dry hair, just mix the cream into the developer and apply to your hair, leave on 10-20 minutes (I did 30), rinse off, shampoo & condition as usual. It´s recommended to do an yllergy test 48 hours before using the dýe and to put petroleum jelly along your hair line to prevent staining your skin.

This is a cream hair color with comes with a comb applicator. Quite ok to apply it with this in my opinion and my color came out really evenly.
What I noticed positively about this hair dye is that it doesn´t reek as it seems to be free of ammonia (not sure though, it just doesn´t smell so), on the contrary, the hair (dye) smells really nice (I think green apple).
Also this color is extremely mild leaving my hair super soft and shiny without any rough or brittle feel. I am not sure about the lighter hair colors though, they might be harsher if they contain a lightening agent!
Anyway, the Natural Black shade is gentle and dyed my hair really nicely, much like a deep dark ashy black-brown.

Before:

After:

I think I paid around US$20 for both boxes plus shipping so not the cheapest hair dye choice but not the most expensive either. I am not sure how long-lasting the color will be as I dyed just a few days ago.

I can highly recommend this Natural Black shade to anyone seeking a deep cool blackened brown!

Dariya Palty hair dye in Milk Tea Brown

I always like my hair darker than it naturally is so most of the time I dye it deep brown, preferably with ash tones or I will go for a deep garnet red.
I have no clue what brought me to try out a hair dye that´s actually lightening hair but anyway, I did it hehe =P
Dariya Palty is probably the most known and popular hair dye and Milk Tea Brown seems to be the best-selling color from the line.
The color chart on the back is actually not that promising as the change in color seems to be minimal:
I am probably the wrong lab-rat as my hair is already dyed, with reddish hues left over and not naturally light-medium brown whereas this range of hair dyes has been developed for Asian hair.

This hair dye got 4 out of 5 hearts for "brightness" and 3 out of 5 for "smoothness" so it should actually lighten hair by a good amount. However this is not a bleach per se as you do not need to mix in a bleaching powder.
The kit consists of agent 1 and a tube of cream (agent 2) to be mixed into agent 1. If you have longer hair you need to purchase 2 sets as 1 won´t be enough.
Anyway, my hair was a shade of reddish brown before and turned about 2 shades lighter and more orange. Unfortunately on my natural undyed roots it turned out bright orange so probably if I did this hair dye on undyed hair the result would have been a disaster.

Before:

After:
I also noticed that this hair dye is really harsh, it was tingling on my scalp and stank strongly of ammonia also making my hair quite dry and rough so it needs a lot of hair mask and conditioner to look and feel good.
So unfortunately this color doesn´t work for me and I already did a dark deep garnet red on top of this color as the roots looked really hideous.

I ordered this from Adambeauty, I don´t remember the price, around US$12 incl. shipping/each perhaps?
