Cow Brand Japan Mu Tenka foaming face wash

If you see this post on another site than lotuspalace.blogspot.com it has been stolen and used without my permission. I only allow reposts with proper credits for my work (please contact me first!)!
I was searching for a cute new foaming cleanser in Hong Kong and I found this product I had never seen before in a Colourmix store right below our hotel.

I was already familiar with Cow Japan but never heard of their Mu Tenka skincare series. The whole bottle was printed in Japanese respectively translated in Chinese so I had to rely on the sales lady to assure me that this product is made for dry/sensitive skin.

This foaming facial cleanser is dispensed as very fine lather and feels very soft and absolutely not drying. This is unscented but has this light no-scent-smell you might find in other unfragranced cosmetics.

I liked to use this in the morning and in the evening after cleansing oil.
I used up my Mu Tenka foaming face wash already and really enjoyed this product as it was mild, non-drying and all in all just a pleasure to use.
This seems a bit hard to find, I can´t locate it in any of my usual online sources.

Happy Bath Sensitive Clear Bubble Cleansing Oil & Cleansing Foam

I´ve been trying a lot of Amore Pacific Happy Bath products lately and really like all of them (a few are ok but most are great). There is no dud... on the contrary, quite some products have good staple potential!

There aren´t many face products in the line, only cleansers for different skin-types so I picked up the 2 for sensitive skin.

The idea of a cleansing oil foam isn´t new but still somehow quite intriguing for me. There is a regular cleansing oil in the Happy Bath Line but I got the one for sensitive skin which came in bubble form.

The 150ml pump bottle contains a pink liquid and smells like a natural and non-chemical blend of roses and some herbs which is a quite refreshing and unobtrusive scent for me. When I push the pump a fine and dense white foam comes out and even with massaging into the facial skin the foam doesn´t disappear.
To be honest this isn´t a good makeup remover as it doesn´t seem to break down makeup, especially not waterproof one. It burns when I get it in my eyes so it´s not good for using in the eye area either.
However this is a really great non-drying facial cleanser as it leaves my skin clean but soft and moisturized (not greasy or oily!) so I like to use the Bubble Cleansing Oil after a regular cleansing oil or alone in the morning.
So overall it fails as a cleansing oil (face makeup remover) but it´s a really good face cleanser.

The Sensitive Clear Cleansing Foam comes in a squeeze-tube containing 175g of product. The texture is like most Asian cleansing foams, a very thick paste-like consistence which lathers up very easily.
I like to use this with a face-sponge to create very thick and rich foam.
This is a little drying but not to the extent to make it an uncomfortable product. Smells like the Bubble Cleansing Foam (a rose/herb scent).

The products are made of over 92% respectively 96% natural ingredients, are hypo-allergenic, dermatologist-tested and contain allantoin and organic flower calming complex (rose, lavender, calendula).

Bought on Gmarket from 영뷰티 for around US$7/each.

Rosette x Hello Kitty Collagen Wash

Rosette is my favorite skincare brand right now... I am sure you must be tired of my raves for the Soys line but actually the more known skincare line from Rosette is the one featuring Hello Kitty! I reviewed the sheet masks some while ago so today I will bring you the review of the Hello Kitty Collagen Wash!

There are several face washes in the Hello Kitty line but only the Collagen Wash is suitable for dry and sensitve skin-types so I purchased it on Sasa (around US$8).

To my delight the Collagen Wash is the one in the pink tube =P I love pink so that´s perfect hehe...
The tube contains 120g and is marked "For sale in Japan only" =P

The wash itself is a thick white paste that lathers up nicely into a very dense soft and silky froth so I only need to take very little each time. Even better foam can be achieved when I´m using one of those Japanese foaming nets that can be purchased on Sasa or eBay. They are used only to create lather and are not actually used on the face.
This product is scented with a crisp apple fragrance which is actually quite nice in my opinion. The foam is gentle and leaves my skin soft and clean albeit slightly dry.

Overall this is a really nice face wash well suitable for normal-dry skin-types. I wouldn´t recommend this to very dry, very sensitive and very oily skin though.

Kosé Cosmeport Softymo Speedy Instant Cleansing Foam

Softymo by Kosé Cosmeport is one of my favorite cleanser brands, their Speedy series is really good and I reviewed some products here on my blog already.

I love cleansers that dispense as foam when they come out of the pump so I definitely was interested to try out the new Speedy Instant Cleansing Foam from Softymo. Such cleansers are often gentler to the skin than regular foaming cleanser gels or pastes in my experience.
The Speedy Instant Cleansing Foam comes in a nice looking pink bottle with a pump dispenser.
The foam that comes out of the pump is a very dense and rich lather scented with the typical Softymo smell (some unobtrusive floral note, think Airy Whip).
This is a perfect and mild cleanser to use in the morning or as a 2nd step cleanser after cleansing oil or milk in the evening.
I almost used up my bottle by now and this stuff really cleanses my face well it neither dries out my skin nor irritates it the least bit so I can highly recommend this lovely face cleanser!

I got my bottle from eBay (Alphabeautyuk), I don´t see it listed elsewhere (yet).

Kanebo Kracie Purenavi Makeup Remover Oil & Facial Cleansing Gel

If you have sensitive skin and are searching for an inexpensive cleansing oil and foaming cleanser then I have the perfect couple for you: Kracie Purenavi Makeup Remover Oil and Facial Cleansing Gel!

Purenavi is a very mild facial cleansing range formulated without fragrance, colorings and parabens. The products are allergy-tested and generally made to reduce the risk of any skin irritations. The products contain collagen and extracts of lemon and grapefruit.

The packaging is very simple and looks fresh, made of clear blue-tinted plastic. The Makeup Remover Oil comes in a convenient pump-bottle whereas the Facial Cleansing Gel is housed in a soft squeeze-tube.

The cleansing oil is clear and has a light slick texture. It gives the perfect feel to massage the face well. It rinses clean without leaving any greasy residue and removes makeup like a charm.

The cleansing gel is a mildly foaming product with a light transparent texture. It´s really very gentle and doesn´t dry out or irritate my skin the least bit.
Together with the cleansing oil it cleanses my skin but lets it feel comfortable and moisturized.
Overall 2 excellent products that are perfect for sensitive skin and they´re very affordable, I paid US$11.50 for the oil (150ml) and less than $9 for the gel (120g) on eBay.

I am starting to test out the products from various fall collections incl. some items from Integrate, Kate, Shu Uemura and Majolica Majorca. I also want to pick up some of the new lippies from Maquillage!

Juju Aquamoist Moisture Cleansing Oil & Syrian dinner

I think the Moisture Cleansing Oil from Juju´s popular range Aquamoist is a rather new addition to the product lineup. At least I didn´t see it in any shops until recently (June or so?). I picked up a bottle as I just love trying new cleansing oils and have nearly finished it as I like it quite a lot!

Like the other products from the Aquamoist series this comes in a simple clear packaging and contains hyaluronic acid. I like the design with Japanese writings all over for some reason though it´s not cute or so hehe :D

The Moisture Cleansing Oil is a rather liquid oil with a light yellow color like say sunflower oil. It has a nice slick feel to it and applies well, emulsifies perfectly into a milky liquid and washes off without leaving any greasy residues.

For those who are new to cleansing oil here is a tip how to use it: Squirt about 2 pumps of oil on your dry hands and spread it on your made-up dry face. Cleansing Oil is a great makeup remover for the face but I personally like to use it as a face cleanser in the morning from time to time, too.
Massage a bit till makeup starts to dissolve, then wet your hands an massage further. Then start to slowly wash it off. Good cleansing oils should start to emulsify and turn into a milky liquid. If used as a makeup remover at night I recommend following up with a mild foaming face cleanser.

My skin gets really soft and clean and not dry or tight at all when using this oil. This oil has a light citrus scent which is alright but not really needed in my opinion.

Overall a nice product and a rather economical choice since the 150ml bottle retails for somewhere around US$10-12 online.

We went to eat at a Syrian restaurant yesterday though honestly I can´t tell much of a difference between the local Egyptian and the Syrian cuisine.
We ordered like half of the menu haha (the waiters had problems to place all that food on our table) =D We were 5 (hubby, the 3 kids and I) and we still took a lot of the food home as the portions were so huge we couldn´t even eat half of that! Still we didn´t pay really more than like 30 EUR for everything!

The food was really yummy though I am not used to some of the spices (like that the rice had a sweetish clove-ish taste), I had half of a boneless (aka boanless on the menu hehe) chicken with rice and other goodies. Other dishes are those rice-stuffed sausages, stuffed grapeleaves etc. etc.

My son loved the restaurant because it is called "Abou Fares" (= father of Fares) and my son´s name is Fares =)

Auravedic beauty products(various items)

I was contacted by Auravedic.com, offering me a set of products to test and review on my blog. I gladly took the opportunity as I always like trying new things and the Auravedic line looked really intriguing! Read about the concept behind the line here!
Of course my reviews are honest, this is not a sponsored review!

I got a pretty red box and some very gorgeous goodies all the way from Kerala, India, and i have to say I love how much attention was spent on the nice wrapping!

Auravedic doesn´t test on anirmals and has very mild formulations (the products contain amazingly little ingredients!)

The products I received are:
-Hand & Nail Treatment - Fresh Rose, 100ml
-Coconut Milk Gentle Make-Up Remover - Fresh Rose, 100ml
-Rejuvenating Under Eye Therapy - Bitter Orange & Lemon, 100ml
-Cinnamon Turmeric Botanical Soap Bar
-Lemon Grass Botanical Soap Bar

As a general remark I want to say that I really like the way the labels are designed, the products look really pretty and the sturdy plastic bottles are a great pick. The 100ml sizes are generous and last a long time. I used the items now for about a month and still have enough to last me for many more months.

-Hand & Nail Treatment:
This product is a deeply nourishing handcare oil containing Wheatgerm Oil, Jojoba and Olive Oil.
This is a really rich oil so a few drops are sufficient to give you super soft hands. I massage the oil in well into my hands and nails and then wipe off the remaining oil with a tissue. This way my hands aren´t oily or greasy but just super smooth and look really nourished and healthy.

This has a quite strong smell, hard to describe. I´d say a faint note of rose mixed with exotic spices and a bit of lemon. I really like this scent which also lingers long but I can understand how it could be overpowering for some.
The oil also is fantastic when used overnight with a pair of cotton gloves.

Overall I highly recommend this product if you have really dry hands or just want to have a deeply nourishing treatment to keep them in good shape generally.

-Coconut Milk Gentle Make-Up Remover:
This is a cleansing milk with a thicker creamy texture (think buttermilk) to gently remove makeup and dirt from the face.
This has a very nice light scent, similar to the one in the Hand & Nail Treatment but a little lighter and a bit fresher.

This feels very moisturizing and gentle and didn´t give me any sort of irritations or allergies on my face. This can remove a light layer of makeup but it´s not sufficient to remove my usual war-painted face. It works somewhat when I use a foaming cleanser afterwards but the cleansing power of the Coconut Milk Gentle Make-Up Remover is just not strong enough for me.

However I really enjoy this in the morning as I can give my face a massage with this rich cream and then have super-soft clean skin when I wipe and wash this off.
So overall a nice very gentle face massage/cleansing product but it´s not a makeup remover for heavy duty users like me =)

Check the ingredients list, it only contains 6 ingredients! Among them Coconut Milk, Rice Bran Oil and Olive Oil.

-Rejuvenating Under Eye Therapy:
This item is an eye care oil to use around your eyes in the morning and/or at night. I use it at night as it´s a bit too rich for daytime use right now (but possibly it will be great in winter!). This oil contains only 3 ingredients: Arrowleaf Sida, Coconut Milk and Coconut Oil (and some fragrance oil I suppose).

To me this is the star product of the lot! This oil has a light spicy scent which is very pleasant for me personally. Again this could be too much for some but it´s not a cloying or heavy smell so to me it´s a nice sort of aromatherapy when using this!

The oil is effective in keeping my eye area very soft! In the morning my eye are is very smooth and fine lines caused by dryness get much less visible.
This doesn´t irritate my eyes at all but I am careful not to let it enter my eyes.

The 2 soaps I got are very mild but foam up nicely and leave a soft scent behind. They are nicely wrapped thus they are great little gifts!

Overall I am pretty impressed with this natural and mild skincare line and can recommend the products if you like to use oils and are not overly sensitive to scents.

If you are intersted in Auravedic please go to the website and contact them for availibilty and pricings.

Poroporo Fueki Cleansing Cream

Did anyone else spot those cute little Fueki products on Sasa or elsewhere? I wish i had ordered a few goodies with my last Sasa order but somehow forgot it *sigh*.

Anyway, eBay is usually the solution to anything so I got hold of the super cute Cleansing Cream there.

All Fueki items come in cute pots looking like a (dog?) face with a cap in various colors. The Cleansing Cream happens to be white and pink which is definitely my favorite color combo =D

The Fueki range is supposed to be formulated to be used by the whole family incl. children but somehow the Cleansing Cream itself is a rather "grown-up" item for me.
The 130g jar (did I mention that it´s super cute? hehe) comes with a yellow spatula to scoop out the Cleansing Cream. This is not a cream actually but a regular foaming face wash. It looks somehow like molten silk with a whipped texture but foams up to a super rich lather with just a few drops of water.
I only take very little to cleanse my face so this product will last an eternity even with 2x daily use.

When I said this item is more to be used by adults than kids i meant that it´s actually a bit too harsh for sensitive children skin. I find the Fueki Cleansing Cream to be on the drying and oil-stripping side...my skin can tolerate it but it feels uncomfortable if I don´t follow up with moisturizer right after washing it. Probably oily skin-types might enjoy this stuff more though.

This is not fragranced and retails for around 700 Yen.
Overall this is super cute and I like using it but it´s a bit on the harsh side so I will definitely have to stop using this in the winter when my skin is drier than now.

Kosé Softymo Q10 Lift Cleansing & Q10 Lift Wash

The Q10 range from Kosé Softymo seems to be quite extensive as they have everything from bath essence (a liquid oily bath), body lotions, hand creams, face care etc. So far I love everything I tried from this line and will continue trying out new things.

I picked up the Q10 Lift Cleansing and Q10 Lift Wash about 3 months ago on Sasa but didn´t get round to using the goodies until recently.
Their slogan is: "A soothing touch that keeps your skin active and brilliant." Hehe...

I first was puzzled about the difference between the Lift Cleansing and Lift Wash...the Lift Cleansing is a cream-type makeup remover and the Lift Wash is a very mild slightly foaming wash so first use the Cleansing and then the Wash.

Both of these come in silver colored plastic squeeze-tubes (150g of the Lift Cleansing and 120g of the Lift Wash) with flip-tops. I believe they´re both unscented however the Lift Wash seems to carry a light orangey scent to me.

The Q10 Lift Cleansing is a smooth rich cream you apply on your dry made-up face and massage it to dissolve makeup and dirt. Then just rinse it off with warm water.
This seems to be effective in removing face makeup and rinses off nicely but nonetheless it leaves my skin super smooth and moisturized. While I am used to the power of cleansing oils I have to admit that I enjoy this item a lot! I think it´s because it´s being rinsed off.. I dislike cleansing milks one should just wipe off with cotton pads!
All in all this is really nice and pefect for dry skin and/or cold weather when other skin-types might feel dry or tight.
Contains Coenzyme Q10 and Shea Butter.

The Q10 Lift Wash is an extremely interesting product. When you squeeze it out it looks like petroleum jelly. It´s a translucent white extremely thick paste with an almost oily feel. However when you rub it onto your wet skin it foams up to create a very moisturizing foam (not a very dense one though) which aids in cleaning my skin thoroughly however it doesn´t dry my skin out at all so this is the ideal companion for the Lift Cleansing.
Contains Coenzyme Q10 and Shea Butter.

I paid about US$7-8 for each of those 2 goodies on Sasa. I am very pleased with both and think they are wonderful cleansers for dry skin. To me these are probably the most moisturizing makeup remover and face cleanser I tried from Japanese brands to date.
