Kanebo Freshel White C W Cream UV SPF32 PA++ (BB Cream)

I ordered this rather new Kanebo Freshel White C W Cream UV (BB Cream) back in April but never came round to reviewing it. Actually I am terribly behind with my reviews, especially with the non-makeup items (aka skincare etc.) but also some of the makeup goodies I picked up during the year remain unreviewed.

Anyway, I first picked up the Moist Lift W Cream from Freshel in December or January and quite like it even though as I stated it is a little on the yellow side but since it´s sheer and rather light-toned works quite well for me.
I am using it on a regular basis though as it just feels comfy.

To me the main difference between the first brown-tubed version and the 2nd in gray packaging is the sun protection level and the color. The White C W Cream UV has now SPF32 PA++ wheras the Moist Lift version offers a protection of SPF23 PA++ so I consider the new gray one as a summer version.
The UV version is also a *little* bit darker, about a quarter-half shade.

Otherwise the texture is the same for me, a lightweight sheer tinted-moisturizer feel without the heavy silicone-y BB Cream sensation. The W Cream UV makes my skin soft and smooth and the light tint evens it out nicely. The color is a decent match so I like wearing this on my no-makeup days. Still my favorite BB Cream is the one from Meishoku!
Can be used right after cleanser and toner, combines the effects of sun protecion, light makeup, beauty essence, emulsion (moisture milk) and cream.

I believe the target group of this product are ladies in the 30ies and 40ies but in my opinion it´s a pretty nice basic product suitable for younger women, too.

The 50g tube retails for 1680 Yen. I got mine from Adambeauty for US$15 which is below the retail price given the strong Yen currently.

Kanebo Freshel Moist Lift Moisture Gel

Over the past year shopping for Japanese haircare, skincare and body stuff has been more luring than makeup sometimes as I felt this year had several weak collections (though admittedly this fall saw lots of wonderful stuff!).

The Moist Lift Moisture Gel is a new product Kanebo released in their Freshel range. I believe the range is targetted to women in their 30ies to 40ies.. Well, I am hitting the magical 30 in December so well.... I am getting there! =X

I quite like the bulky brown-golden jar, it looks somehow nice and different from other stuff in my bathroom.
The Moisture Gel has a milky white color and is free of fragrance. This is the perfect refreshing moisture kick for my skin, I love using it in the morning (as at night I use the Kanebo Kracie Hadabisei Face Pack I reviewed recently).
The gel is lightweight and not sticky and sinks in quickly leaving my skin very soft.

The Moist Lift Moisture Gel doesn´t irritate my skin at all and contains hyaluronic acid (I believe 2 versions of it). Does any Japanese brand nowadays NOT contain hyaluronic acid? lol

Overall a great product and worth purchasing. The 80g jar cost me US$17 shipped from Adambeauty. Japanese retail price is 1800 Yen.

Kanebo Freshel Moist Lift W BB Cream SPF 23 PA++

So here is the review for the other Japanese BB Cream that came out not too long ago.
Kanebo jumped on the BB craze-bandwagon and added this new Lift W Moist BB Cream to their Freshel range.

I have never tried anything from Freshel before but I couldn´t resist trying the new BB Cream as it was only US$15 shipped from Adambeauty (add US$2 for registered fee per order so it cost me about US$15.25 as I got some other items) and I like to try all kinds of BB creams, especially the new ones from Japanese brands!

The Moist Lift W BB Cream comes in a brown and golden squeeze tube with 50g content.

The cream has the properties of moisture lotion, beauty liquid (?), cream and sunscreen (SPF23 PA++) along with a light makeup to cover small flaws. This can be used right after your toner.

The cream itself is quite lightweight (as in not siliconey like most Korean brands) but moisturizing and provides a sheer coverage. There is only 1 color which is a light (but not super pale) yellow-toned shade. Somehow this reminds me more of a tinted moisturizer than a BB cream though I can´t exactly tell you what the difference is to start with lol! I think it´s the lightweight feeling and very sheer coverage that makes me feel so.

The shade adjusts so I like wearing this however it is a little too yellow/ocher-toned for my liking. The Meishoku BB creams (click on the label "Japanese BB Creams" below to check the review) fit me a bit better.

All in all a good and moisturizing Japanese BB cream most suitable for anyone with light-medium skin and yellow undertones.
