Paul & Joe Eye Gloss N #04 Halo

I purchased a Paul & Joe Eye Gloss (old formula) before but didn't really like it. I didn't like the applicator (at least I believe it had a brush applicator) and the finish/color weren't that nice. It was nearly invisible on my lids.

I was mainly interested in getting the new Eye Gloss N in the color #05 (which looked like a pearly metallic taupe gray) but decided to order 04 along with it as it looked gorgeous, too (from Gooddealer.com...US$25.04/each). Unfortunately the Eye Gloss N in 05 was out of stock (though it showed in stock when I ordered =( )so I only got 04 Halo.


The Eye Gloss N comes in the typical pretty Paul & Joe tube with a light pink cap and a silver beige flower print (Chrysanthemum, right?).
It comes with a convenient doe-foot applicator and is very lightly scented.

The texture is very lightweight and creamy and the eyeshadow doesn't clump up if you layer it. I found 2 layers give me the desired color depth and a nice soft pearl finish.


The Eye Gloss spreads really evenly with great ease which makes it much nicer to use than some other brands of liquid eyeshadows.

I dab on the color with the applicator and spread the color by patting it on with my ring finger. I let the first layer dry and then apply a 2nd coat. The color dries down quickly and once it's set it doesn't budge or crease at all.


The color I got (#04 Halo) is a very pretty light pearly mauve pink. It's a cool color that looks like a "my lids but better" color on me. It's the perfect color for a sheer wash as it's not too light (pastels wash me out) but still light enough to use all over your eyelids.
It's a great color for the upcoming Spring, too!

I used only the Eye Gloss N in 04 (I nearly NEVER wear less than 2 eyeshadows but this is so pretty used solo!), Cle de Peau Intensifying Cream Eyeliner in 103, Majolica Majorca Lash Base & Lash Enamel Glamour Neo and Canmake Shiny Underliner in Pink.


All in all I am extremely pleased with this pretty item and will definitely pick up #05 as soon as it's back in stock.
