DHC Rose Beauty Gel Foundation Q10 SPF30 PA+++ & Rose Beauty Lip Care Balm

As I was and still am very impressed with DHC's Moisture Care Liquid Q10 Foundation I decided to try out their Rose Beauty Gel Foundation Q10 which looked interesting enough to give it a try.

I also liked the Rose Beauty Lip Care Balm I found in the same eBay store so I added it to my order.

-Rose Beauty Gel Foundation Q10 SPF30 PA+++:

This comes in a very adorable light pink 30g jar with a rose-shaped cover.
The jar comes in a clear plastic box with an extra spatula packed together with the foundation.
The foundation is a very lightweight smooth gel with a soft light rose scent.

It contains Q10, natural olive essence oil, Bulgarian Rose and "clear rose pigment" (to cover pores, fine lines and dullness).
The foundation comes in 3 colors only but it's sheer-medium so one of the 3 colors will probably adjust to your skin tone.
I picked O-00, the lightest color, which looks terribly dark in the pot.

At first I hesitated trying the foundation out as it looked so dark that it wouldn't fit with my skin color for sure. It's really odd but it blends in perfectly. I have no idea how the Japanese manage to give that effect but it really works!

As I said it offers sheer-medium coverage, applied with my 187 brush it's a nearly flawless finish that needs very little concealer and just a little powder to set the foundation. Since the Moisture Care Liquid Foundation gives more coverage I still prefer this over the Rose Beauty Gel though.

The foundation is definitely moisturizing and leaves a soft dewy finish. This offers an SPF of 30 PA+++.

Retails for 1680 Yen, I paid US$22 (+shipping) from Alpha Beauty Store.

-Rose Beauty Lip Care Balm:

The lip care comes in a pretty rose-shaped jar. The balm is a yellow thick hard balm that takes a bit rubbing to get any product on your finger.

The balm has a light rose scent and is moisturizing but doesn't feel heavy. However it's not the best balm I tried, I still prefer more emollient smooth balms that I can slather on.

I paid US$10.95 plus shipping for this.

Thank you for this!! I absolutely fell in love with this line's packaging when I was in Taiwan, haha. But didn't have time to try it! Now I really want it... does it last long? And does it oxidize and look duller at the end of the day?

Doesn't oxidize on me and I don't notice any dullness but in this cold cold weather we have everything sort of stays freshly applied all day long. Sort of like chicken stays fresh in the deep freezer lol

hi kathi, thanx for the review yet again!

I have the same foundation, exactly the same product however it is packed in a pink box with spatula etc. which is quite different from urs:-| I am wondering whether alpha beauty store is based in japan? Cos i understand that sometimes japanese products are packed differently in japan and other countries, btw i bought it from a taiwan website lol!

Mine is from a seller in Hong Kong. Yea, sometimes things get packaged differently depending on where they're sold =D
