Spring 2010: Esprique Precious Symphonic Fit Eyes in F-1 and F-4

I thought of kicking off the new year with my first review for a spring 2010 collection even though I am not done with the Xmas reviews yet, ouch!
Esprique Precious admittedly became one of my favorite brands ever since it launched. While the predecessor "Luminous" was of mediocre quality (except for the lipsticks, they were really nice) Esprique Precious is top notch for me.

I eagerly awaited the arrival of my order from Gooddealer which took close to 3 weeks to arrive due to Hong Kong Post´s slow processing of airmail for the previous couple of months. At least the online tracking of the registered airmail packages always keeps me informed when my packages depart from Hong Kong =)

Anyhow, the 2 Symphonic Fit Eyes palettes arrived about a week ago so I had time to play with them.

The new eyeshadow palettes come in a pretty white case with 3 rows of shiny metal "cystals" in silver and pink.
The case opens to reveal 4 powder shadows and a cream base along with applicators and a mirror.

The texture of the new Symphonic Fit Eyes is velvety smooth but not powdery or overly soft. Quite the kind of texture I like as overly soft and powdery shadows have the tendency to make a mess.

The pigment is on the sheer-medium side but can be layered. The darkest color and the aqua shade in F-4 have a tad bit more pigment than the rest.
The cream base (off-white) is smooth and just just gives a pearly instead of a glittery finish and does a great job of keeping the shadows looking fresh. This surprised me as in general the greasy glittery cream bases found in Japanese shadows are totally useless.

F-1: This palette can create a soft feminine spring look. The colors are white, orangey pink (sort of a pink graprefruit color), lilac and deep gray. I wear the pink in my crease area only though (blended well upwards) as I look like a rabbit with such a color on my lids, even with eyeliner etc.

F-4: The colors are a soft pale mint, bright aqua (this one shows up really intensely on me!), silver and a deep taupe gray. Of the 2 palettes I like this one more even though it´s rather bright and I got a bit shy wearing brights in the previous couple of years. =)

The staying power is good on me, the included cream base helps enhance the color brillance and wear time, too!
Pretty much any shadow stays on well on my lids though (I always prime well etc.)

The retail price is 3675 if I am not wrong. I got mine from Gooddealer.com for about US$33 & shipping and handling.

Diagram how to wear it (the colors are named A, B, C, D from left to right)

Happy New Year!!!!!
Oh my, those look lovely! I've not had experiences with Esprique Precious yet... since it's unavailable here but maybe someday I shall check them out when they look like that! I love the packaging ;)

Wishing you all the best for this year!

Those look so gorgeous!! I'm loving the blue/green palette =D

HK post is SO slow this time of year. It took my stuff about 2 weeks to process at the post office, and but once it was sent out, it got to me pretty quick. But I'm glad they made a bigger effort to get everything out in time for Christmas.

Happy New Year to you! Hope you have a wonderful year =)

Great review as always, Kathi!
I wished, I could describe e/s palettes in that depth too. My English sucks, when it comes to this. I think, I'm better at reviewing skincare products, haha... ;)

Both palettes look really pretty, and very spring-ish!
